"Lovely old style house and grounds - gated. Good overnight stay. Very friendly owner and staff with travel advice. Safe. Renovation works going on but luckily did not effect our 1 night stay. "

"The check-in went well, but downhill from there. We had the family room but used 1 room. It was hot! The pool water was deep green and we could not see the bottom. We were told that it was going to be cleaned “tomorrow”. It took days to clean so no pool for 3 days and then the next day we were on a tour. The pool area needed maintenance, as well as some lounge chairs and table, chair and umbrella sets. It had none! The guest living room did not exist since dining table and chairs were...

"The accommodation was nothing like the pictures on the website. The bedding and furniture is outdated …driveway too steep . I had to extend my stay but moved to a different accommodation. Will not book this accommodation again. "

"Definitely different. Beautiful African beadwork, artwork and spectacular wood furnishings. One could spend hours soaking it all up. Our arrival was disappointing. Taken in through a side door to our room with no orientation about the palace its surroundings local places to eat. Exterior beautiful gardens neglected. Viewing deck total overgrown. Old rusty ladder lying their. Lounge pool dirty and definitely not five stars although it could be. All out door seating areas too dirty to sit on. A...

"What a lovely guesthouse. Host and staff were excellent. Our room was clean and spacious. Great breakfast, easy access to all restaurants and shops. We will return on our next visit to South Africa"
