Great winter getaway!
What a gem to find between the holidays! We had a great stay. Only suggestion would be to have some hooks for coats maybe? Beautiful country as always and saw lots of wildlife on this trip! Thanks for the great home away from home!

Amazing Place to stay.
We found was very centralized to all the places we wanted to visit so did not take us long to get to each area. The home was very comfortable. Very quiet to stay at. Very clean and was enough room for 6 adults to stay. Lots of kitchen appliances to be used. We all enjoyed our stay.

Great location
This was a great central location for the things we wanted to see in the Black Hills. Property is well maintained and loved the floor plan. We had a couple of small issues with the cabin and the Management answered our text immediately and took care of them right away. Would highly recommend this property.

Great location for Sturgis Rally
The cabin was the perfect place to stay if you don't want to be in the high-traffic area of Sturgis or Deadwood but want to experience the ride and the people. Hill City was fun and it was a nice ride to all surrounding towns, downtown Sturgis and even closer to Custer, Needles High Way and Mount Rushmore. The cabin itself was perfect for six people and parking was just right for bikes and a car. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Family Getaway
The location of this property is centrally located for Black Hills attractions. Our three generation group found the cabin spacious, comfortable, and furnished with everything we needed for our stay. The stunning mountain view, outdoor space for the kids to run about, and the hot tub made spending time outdoors very enjoyable. The large living space and bedrooms and baths allowed privacy and time to rest and regroup before the next day's adventures. It was a "grand slam" vacation!

Very nice
The house was very nice and very clean. We enjoyed our stay. Our only complaint would be lack of a supply of toilet paper and soap. We had to replenish both. We would stay there again when in Hill City

Nice rest after a day of exploring
Home was clean and enough room for all of us. Nice movie selection and kitchen well stocked with dishes and other gadgets. Hot tub was clean and well maintained. Bring bug spray as there are some mosquitoes outside. AC worked well. Deer frequently seen in the morning or evening across the creek. Nice neighbors. Weather was comfortable enough to sit outside to read in the morning, and relax in the evenings under the covered porch area.

Nice but needs some maintenance
Overall, it was a very comfortable place to stay. Several light bulbs out, drainage needs to be fixed, and not much space left to put our stuff. Just suggestions to make it a little more user friendly. Loved that it had a hot tub and very close to all the places we wanted to see. Quiet even though it was close to the highway.

Good, but not Great
For the price/night, we were expecting this to be Great. It was good, but not great - there were some housekeeping issues and the home has some maintenance issues to be addressed. Pros: The house is so close to this cute little stream that's stocked with trout. Our kids had a BLAST fishing! Also, it's SUCH a central location. 15 mins or less to most of the big attractions. We did Mt Rushmore, Chuckwagon Dinner, Crazy Horse, 1880's train to Keystone and back, Reptile Gardens (twice it was so awesome, they give a free pass for the whole week with your first entrance fee), Custer, Sylvan Lake and the Wildlife Loop at Custer State Park, Sheridan Lake, Wind Caves National Park - it's central to ALL! Amazing location, for sure. And the house was well-stocked, kitchen wise. BBQ was great. It has oils and sugar and coffee filters and all the basics, which was nice. A lot of random electrical appliances - george foreman lean mean grills, old school giant popcorn machines, electric salad spinners... it made us lol and wonder if the owners ditched their unwanteds here. Haha! :) Re the housekeeping, I had called 10 days early to arrange check-in at 3pm so we could make a chuckwagon dinner on time. We were told that would be just fine, but upon arrival at 3pm the housekeeper wasn't even there, let alone completed. We ended up unpacking our suitcases on the driveway to get out coats for the dinner and not checking in until late that evening. The bathrooms were missing white towels and there was half used shower gel, the hot tub wasn't filled all the way and was uber-chemically and cold. The two bedrooms closets had pillows and linens and home decor just strewn everywhere, looked very dirty. Maybe some baskets would help? All in all, you could tell that the poor housekeeper was overworked. There were some maintenance items as well that we already discussed with mgmt, no need to bring up here again as I'm hoping they will address. Even though it was a cool and rainy week, the house ran very hot - upstairs thermometers stuck around 80 degrees. There is a wall AC unit in the loft to their credit. :) I would plan on putting kiddos in the loft rather than adults as it's so bright it's not a great place to sleep in. It was very safe tho, no safety concerns. Thanks for the fun time!

Our family really enjoyed our trip and this property. It’s a fantastic location and very close to many of the most popular spots. Some minor things could use improvement like upgraded bedding and maybe a little cleaner, but would stay here again. Thanks!

Storm mountain #5 cottage is very comfortable and spacious. We loved having the hot tub for sitting early morning and evenings. It is a great location for us when trail riding. The Hill City area is great. We had super restaurant and shopping experiences. We made it to the Buffalo roundup at Custer State park. Thanks for making our stay unforgettable.

We've stayed at several other vacation rentals, and this cabin is on the top of our list of favorite
We've stayed at several other vacation rentals, and this cabin is on the top of our list of favorites! It was right by the highway, which at first concerned me because of the traffic noise, but that really wasn't an issue, and we LOVED the convenience - so easy to get anywhere in the area for sightseeing (Crazy Horse, 1880 train ride from Hill City to Keystone, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park and Sylvan Lake, and even a day trip to see Wall Drug and the Badlands). The parking space was great, the one-level entrance and main floor bedroom/bathroom was great for the elderly in our party who needed handicap accessibility. The cabin was impeccably cleaned and we loved the rustic decor - but mostly we loved the simplicity so there was room for us to make it our own home for a few days. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, the bathrooms had plenty of towels, and we even enjoyed some of the movies they had available. One of our favorite things was the washer and dryer - so nice to have! The hot tub was terrific, the bathrooms super spacious, and the beds all comfy. We enjoyed using the outdoor grill and having dinner on the patio. Our visit was amazing - we loved every bit of it and hope we can come back soon. My only request would be to add on 2 more bedrooms so we can bring more of our family with us next time! :) Thank you for the great service! I was in contact with both Lee Ann, our reservation/check in help, and with a member of the cleaning crew who stopped by to update the key code on the lock. Lee Ann was prompt to reply to my requests by email prior to our stay, and when I called her the day we checked in due to our code not working, she answered immediately and helped us get a new code. The cleaning team member stopped by to update the code and was very welcoming and kind. We had an issue with a drain clogging, and after we called Lee Ann, she sent someone to deal with it and it was taken care of while we were out sightseeing. Both folks were a delight to interact with and made our stay easy.

My husband and I along with our two grandsons absolutely loved our cozy furnished cabin.
My husband and I along with our two grandsons absolutely loved our cozy furnished cabin. It exceeded our expectations, in terms of comfort and amenities. The decor was inviting; the kitchen was handy. The location in Hill City, SD is perfect for taking in all the sights of the Black Hills. Nancy Richardson, Greeley CO Lee Ann McDonald was the only team member I e-mailed or talked to, and she answered all my questions and was very helpful. The booking personnel were also courteous and professional.
