A note to guests: Cashiers and Highlands were fortunate and had little damage. Please know that both towns are open and are welcoming visitors!
A serene mountain getaway awaits you at High Ridge Haven - a newly renovated home that sleeps up to 7 guests on 10 private acres with stunning views of Whiteside Mountain. Our unique property is set on a ridge that takes advantage of mountain views from both sides of the home from large windows and wrap-around decks. While the location feels delightfully off the grid, it’s located just four miles from the Cashiers Crossroads and 10 miles to the bustling town of Highlands.
The setting is breathtaking the moment you drive down the gently winding driveway lined with towering trees and rhododendron bushes. Inside on the first floor are three well-appointed bedrooms - all with sliding glass doors to a balcony with comfortable chairs to view the mountains and forest. First bedroom has a king bed and ensuite bathroom. Middle bedroom is a queen room, and the third bedroom also has a king bed. Second full bath is located in the hallway, along with the laundry room. An additional fold-away twin bed is available. Pack and play and high chair for a baby.
Up the stairs, you’ll find the spacious kitchen, family, and dining area - highlighted by soaring ceilings with wood beams and modern floor to ceiling windows. The chalet-style space is the perfect place to relax with family and friends, whether eating a home-cooked meal, unwinding on the decks after a day of outdoor activities, relaxing in the hot tub while viewing Whiteside Mt, or playing board games at the large table.

Some things to note:
We have both Starlink and Verizon WIFI providing high-speed Internet at High Ridge Haven. Keep in mind the home is in the mountains so it is possible to experience a momentary hiccup, but you may not experience any issues at all. Additionally, you can go into the town of Cashiers (4 miles away)- the local library or Buck’s Coffee provides good internet. Verizon offers the best cell service. If you are with another carrier, you can connect via WiFi to get calls or text messages.
We provide great directions, but those who are not used to driving in the mountains should be aware of curving, sometimes steep roads. The access to our home is fairly easy but would require a four-wheel or all-wheel drive during winter weather.
The unique setting of this home - on top of a ridge in the mountains - means that other creatures make their home here, so we ask that you embrace nature. This area is known as a temperate rainforest. While there aren’t many mosquitos, there are other flying insects as well as spiders, birds, squirrels, raccoons, deer, and the occasional bear.
Dog policy (also on rental agreement):
Two house-broken and well-trained dogs of up to 50 pounds and two years of age are allowed with prior approval by owner. Puppies are not allowed. No other animals are allowed. Failure to get prior approval of a dog may result in termination of rental, immediate eviction, and forfeiture of security deposit. There is a non-refundable fee of $125 per dog. Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations and crated if left alone in home. Dog waste must be picked up and disposed prior to departure. Any damage will be deducted from security deposit.
