Our DC vacation
Love the decor, the pool was great, had a little trouble navigating in the area but got used to the traffic and was able to find our way around after a couple of days. Took the Metrorail into DC to to see the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum for the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. Had a great time, would like to come back some day.

A wonderfull time
Thanks to our hosts. We had a wounderfull time here. Would always come back. In short: The pictures show the reality. The house was very clean. Kitchen and bath in perfect condition and had all you need to enjoy your stay . Coffee, tea and some cold refreshments were already there when we arrived. When ever we had a question or we needed anything, our hosts could help us. The place was ideal for exploring the cities and nature around. A great thanks from my wife and me.

Very Warm, Cozy ,Pleasant Place and Super Accomadating Hosts
What a quaint place with warm friendly hosts. It was our first VRBO and was uncertain it all works. We arrived late, but still were greeted by hosts, given tour of the beautiful pool and offered assistance with ANYTHING. The small studio had everything and more. It felt spacious and comfortable. Was very clean. We would recommend this stop not far from Washington DC and Baltimore MD I did not get into the pool as planned but very very inviting. Plan to next visit. Thank you for making our stay very pleasant!

Restful surprise
My family truly enjoyed our stay here. The accommodations were perfect and the hosts of the site were gracious, helpful, and so very friendly. It has all the beauty of the country while being only a hop, skip, and jump from the city. We all loved the pool - our girls think we should have one at home. Everything was clean and neat - a surprise of danishes for the morning, fluffy towels and warm, fuzzy blankets (now on Christmas wish lists). It is a short, easy drive to the Glenmont Metro station and only about 30 min drive from Baltimore too. If we are ever visiting in the area again this would be our first choice. We highly recommend it.

Incredible hospitality and charming cottage
My three girls and I decided last minute to join my husband on a business trip to Columbia. Being a family of five, we prefer to stay somewhere larger than a hotel room. From the start, Theresa was very accommodating. She let us check in the same day we inquired about the property. When we arrived, she showed us into the cozy and very clean guest house (which is attached to the main home but has a different entrance and has complete privacy) and made arrangements for the girls to tour the grounds and meet some of the barn animals. The full kitchen was stocked with dishes, kitchen utensils, spices of every kind, bottles of water, little snacks, and she even dropped us off a dozen fresh eggs from her chickens (which you can see right outside the window). You can feel the love and kindness that went into preparing the guest house. Every detail was so thoughtfully and deliberately prepared. The large bathroom was stocked with goats milk soap, hand cream, extra toothbrush, etc... There was plenty of bedding and everyone slept comfortably. While the accommodations were more than enough to make us very happy, the hospitality really made a huge impression. Everyone we met was kind and went out of his/her way to make sure we felt welcomed. Our family travels a lot and we have used vrbo dozens of times. I have never felt compelled to leave a review like I do now. If you're looking for a charming, cozy place to call home for a day or few, this place is impossible to beat. We will be back and next time, we will plan to bring our horses and also enjoy the pool. Thank you so much Theresa for opening your home to us. The time together at your home was precious for our family. Blessings.

Very expensive stay…
I sent this text about nine days ago and still waiting for a response: Good morning Jim, This is Elizabeth Dahouk. We spoke yesterday regarding a refund for at least the last two nights we were at your property. As you recalled when we arrived, the AC was not working and the temperature unbearable at 85F in one room and the other 79F with noisy AC wall unit. Teressa was very apologetic over the phone and had offered a refund then, but also mentioned that an AC part was coming in the overnight mail promising the main AC will be fixed early the following day. We agreed to stay the night hoping the main AC will be fixed the next day before noon. Midmorning came and no news from Teressa. We called her late morning and her response that she doesn’t know the status of the AC and will check. The weather outside was a bit cooler and decided to stay and wait for Teressa’s update. Despite multiple texts as well, we never heard from her. The morning of the next day, we called and texted her with no answer. So, we decided to check out. By then, the temperature remains at 75 with noisy wall unit which made it an uncomfortable stay for us. Having said all that, you were very welcoming and the kids enjoyed the horses. Great place for staying near Baltimore
Took my wife and 5 year old daughter to Baltimore for a long weekend, and this rental made it a perfect weekend! Extremely clean place, with plenty of space for us. Great communication through the entire process. The pool was perfect temperature and clean. After hearing that my daughter loves horses, Jim sought us out on our way home from dinner our second night to walk her around and introduce her to his horses. The rest of the weekend all she talked about was her new horse friend “blondie” thank you Jim and Theresa for a great place to stay, we hope to be back!

This was our second time at this property, and we had another great weekend. The indoor pool is amazing and even warm enough for me to go in! The kids loved seeing and feeding the horses.so much fun for all of us!

Favorite VRBO ever!
This property is absolutely amazing! Jim and Theresa are the friendliest people you could ever meet! The pool was the nicest pool we have ever swam in, and we had it to ourselves the whole stay. We took a tour of the farm and fed the horses (23 horses!) We have stayed at a lot of places, and this one is definitely our favorite! The kids had an absolute blast! This property can comfortably sleep 5, the decor is beautiful antiques. We were tucked away, but LOTS of shopping and restaurants at right downtown the road. Washington DC is only a half hour drive away and absolutely breathtaking. I would highly recommend this property if you are visiting the area!

Stayed here a year ago and just came back—still outstanding. Swimming in the pool, feeding the horses, playing board games in the studio, and getting food from the excellent nearby restaurants. This place is the best.

Very nice place
It is decorated beautifully with wonderful antiques. The bed was very comfortable. It was very nice having supplies in the kitchen. Coffee and sugar we're so much appreciated. Washer and dryer were so convenient. The pool was lovely. Having to put the cover on and off was not an easy feat for us. Jim helped us which was a big help. Overall the property was wonderful.

AMAZING & SURREAL
This short getaway for our wedding anniversary was just what we needed. The hosts were so friendly but non intrusive. The place was quaint and we loved being on a farm with the horses and having some place to take a walk. The pool was a really nice bonus. We would highly recommend this place!

Swimming and Relaxing
The pool was the main attraction as my (three) kids always want to go to the pool at home, and we swam for several hours every day. It was great. The rental property was cozy but had enough room to give everyone space. When we weren't swimming we spent time in the rental playing games and watching movies. The owners were always responsive and Jim even took some time (upon our request) to show us how to feed his horses.

Enchanting horse farm with private indoor heated pool-
My husband and I loved this perfect nature filled get away. Theresa and Jim were the perfect hosts. The suite was lovely, clean and comfortable with all the amenities including an indoor heated pool that was steps away from our suite. We had the pool to ourselves and Jim introduced us to the horses and let us feed and get to know them. We spent our days hiking in nearby parks and also visited an Alpaca farm. It was four days of nature filled fun.

A delightful escape
This was our second visit and we loved it even more the second time around. Knowing a little about what we could expect made our planning easier. We cooked more and explored more. The walking trail to the nearby park was fun. Feeding the horses was also fun. There were again plenty of everything we needed. Some kitchen basics are there but if you are planning to cook, bring your staples like sugar and cooking oil/spray or any specialty cookware you might need. We will likely be back again in the future - the kids just loved the pool and we brought our own toys and paddleboards.

Perfect getaway
This is a fantastic place for a quick getaway. It's very family friendly. My husband and I brought our son (aged 4) and he had a blast feeding the horses and swimming in the pool. There are a number of great local restaurants in the area and the kitchen is convenient to cook in if you don't want to eat out for every meal. We felt really welcome and will definitely be returning!

Lovely relaxing Weekend
This is a very lovely property. It is scenic, near trails and also a short drive to restaurants and shopping. The owners were readily accessible and very kind. We were given a tour of the grounds and access to the horses which my children really loved. The pool was warm, clean and private. We are hoping to return in the future.

Fun weekend trip
We stayed for a weekend trip. We LOVED the pool. Mr Jim showed us around the property and our boys loved seeing the horses. The hosts were very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Everything we needed!
This little oasis in MD was exactly what we needed to get away from quarantine life. The suite was just big enough for the 5 of us and it was stocked with everything we thought we would need. Plenty of kid friendly dishware. Enough spots to eat meals. And plenty of spots for everyone to find a nook. Jim and Theresa are both so lovely and friendly. Jim took us down to feed the horses and see the barn. The pool was perfection and it only took a time or two to figure out the cover. PRO TIP: Bring a robe and flip flops to walk to and from the pool house. It isn't far but would make it more comfy. The location is close to shops and restaurants - we had some delicious takeout meals (Try Lucero's!) but also the fridge and kitchen was great for the meals we made. The linens, amenities such as washer/dryer and coffee for the coffeemaker were just the right little touches. Even magazines and tourist books. Can't wait to book again!!
