"Staff were incredibly nice and welcoming. Our room was comfy and the private onsen was a dream. Food was amazing-lots of local ingredients, which was great to try. I have seen some complaints about it not being super new, but I feel that's part of the charm of this place. Highly recommend! "

"The woman who runs this inn is an amazing person. She was kind, recommended great local restaurants, and even drove us to Kanazawa station free of charge at the end of our stay. The rooms are impressive, japanese-style, and have access to an onsen. Highly recommend a stay here. "

"We absolutely loved our stay! We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves even though there were other guests. The staff are truly so lovely and the room was beautiful. Overall, we would love to go back and highly recommend to anyone! "

"The owners of the ryokan were very accommodating, kind & helpful. The room is big & adequate. Excellent breakfast. The only minus is that there is limited transpo to the inn. And there are no stores or restaurants near the inn. So you need to eat dinner in another village or bring food home."

"My only complaint is that it was difficult to find (I recommend not bothering with trains/busses and just take a taxi. You’ll save yourself a lot of grief). Otherwise I have nothing but great things to say! It was quiet, clean, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. It’s a completely different experience compared to other types of accommodations and I highly recommend it to anyone even if only for one night! "

"This ryokan was a top experience of our two-week trip in Japan. Such a charming and unique oasis and glimpse of traditional Japanese life. The rooms and facilities are even better than pictured. An onsen is included in the price, and you can go as often as you'd like. We highly recommend their nine-course meal that you can reserve (for an extra fee) up to two days prior to your stay. They even accommodated our group member's gluten allergy. The ryokan is easily accessible by bus from Kanazawa...

"Lovely stay, we were welcomed warmly and had a fantastic traditional tatami room which included Yukata, television and tea set. The shared bathroom was clean, and the area was close to lots of restaurants but was quiet during the night. The train station is not very close, but we walked it in about 30mins or there is a bus stop very close by."

" A friend and I stayed at this inn during a busy holiday weekend when we couldn't get a place closer to Kanazawa. It's a traditional Japanese inn, meaning you sleep on the tatami mat floor on futons. Theres no bathroom in your room, but down the hall, and it's only toilets and sink basins. For your shower or bath you have to go down to the main bath which is segregated by men and women. It's open from 3 o'clock in the afternoon until 9 o'clock the following morning, but where is no place to...

"Beautiful traditional accommodation in historical district of Kanazawa. Very comfortable accommodation. Weather in Kanazawa was inclement and perhaps we should have been warned to bring umbrellas offered by the accommodation. Minor detail but otherwise the staff were super helpful and friendly. Such a beautiful accomodation, loved the stay and would return again. The streets are narrow so the taxis/ cars can only drop you at the closest side street, not at the front door. "It was a pleasant stay and location is great. Is about 560m away from Kanazawa station .We are able to drop off our luggage at Kanazawa hotel before our check in time . Is a plus as this hotel is unmanned. Smooth Check in with password given. Comfortable bed and family friendly. "

"Excellent location with buses stopping outside (including the RL & LL loop tourist buses). Lots of konbinis a short walk. Not far to the Castle or Kenroku-en gardens. Free wine and sake, cold tea and nuts and popcorn from 3pm to 8pm. Lots of extra amenities to pick up in reception and free umbrellas (if they have them available). Only a couple of small niggles - no on-site laundry (which we knew) but there is no pull out washing line in the bathroom or any hooks anywhere. Decent size room with a small open wardrobe area and a couple of draws. Black out blind was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again and will look for this brand again on our return to Japan."

" Toilet is spacious. Room is clean. - Laundry was always occupied. People left clothes in washer/dryer and I went to the laundry multiple times and found it was not available. There is no way to know when it is available remotely."
