I think we were one of the first people to stay here - I mean, the glass dish in the microwave was still in bubble wrap, and the place smelled freshly finished. There were there flaws - all easily addressed, and otherwise this was a real treat to find. The three issues we had were 1: Water- there was some water intrusion at the front door after a heavy rain, and there was some water leaking out of the shower when used. Both seemed like things that pop up and get addressed with a new build like this. We send a direct message to the property owner & they'll surely fix these. 2: stairs are steep - the stairs up to the loft are pretty steep. There's a railing and all - but if you aren't expecting it, it might be a problem...mentioning this in the description would solve it. and 3: There were a couple of windows that didn't have a way to cover them. Folks who will want to have privacy and total darkness will appreciate the option to cover windows.
That's it - minor stuff, all fixable. Otherwise this place was well appointed, clean, attractive, and accommodating. The internet worked fine using the provided phone as hotspot. There is a popular trailhead for accessing the Raystown Lake trails literally a 1 minute drive around the corner. Fire pit and accompanying Adirondack chairs looked great, though we didn't get to use it. Definitely would book here again.
