"Nice staff, everything worked well, parking was cheap thanks to a discounted on-road pay and display scheme, property is a bit dated in places but all was fine. Pianist in the bar was a great touch. I would stay there again."

This has become our hotel of choice every time we visit Eastbourne and which is very often. Not only are the price and rooms exceptional with awesome views but the hospitality and dedication of the staff is what draws Dr Pilcher and I to the Cavendish Hotel. "What a treasure Rye has with The George. Extremely well located, about a 10 minute walk (albeit some uphill) from the station parking, a lovely old building that's in good condition. We went at low season so Rye was quiet (great for us, albeit some businesses were closed for staff vacations...not a problem), and very walkable. We enjoyed several small pubs which felt very cosy and welcoming in the cooler nights. Strongly recommended. "
