"Beautifully set on the side of a mountain, the property was clean and tidy and located next to a shared pool. Very quiet and the view is amazing. Air conditioning available at an additional cost, but very fair pricing and definitely needed. Shops are close for essentials, and the seafront is around 20 mins downhill.. the walk back up is challenging especially if you've had a few bevvies, but taxis are very much available. Over all, very enjoyable stay and will defo be on my list to visit...

"OK - I want to be fair here. This is not a full service hotel, it is serviced apartments that are run by what seems to be an individual owner. We went in January, so many businesses in Crete were closed for the low season. Upon arrival, the proprietor seemed surprised to see us and we were the only guests for the time we were there. "From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by Georgios and Lena. They treated us with cake and wine on arrival, and with bowls of fruit and other lovely gifts throughout our stay. The property was just as we had hoped, the location was perfect for us - a pretty quiet area with the sea at the end of the drive. Our hosts were so helpful with their hints and tips on where to go and when. We would definitely recommend this place."

Royal & Imperial Belvedere Resort - All inclusive

"Just had 5 nights at this hotel (late October) and it was wonderful. Busy enough to feel part of something, quiet enough so that there were no queues at all for food (which was plentiful, varied and delicious) and plenty of space in every area (poolside, restaurants, etc). Room was comfy, pools were lovely (if a little cold), sun loungers were plentiful, staff were great (my daughter and I did sunset yoga every day - bliss) and only a 25 minute taxi ride from Heraklion Airport. Deserves every one of it's 4 stars."
