"From start to finish and everything in between Lisa and her beautiful Cortijo were amazing! The house is stunning, in a beautiful setting with every possible extra covered from hairdryers to pool umbrellas from spacious bathrooms to sandwich toasters! However the star of the show is Lisa! She helped me plan my best friend’s Hen Weekend organising airport transfers, cooking amazing tapas, finding me someone to teach salsa and then recommending the talented Eliza to sing for us whilst we ate an incredible plate of paella. Lisa, words can’t thank you and Julian enough. From the bottom of my heart you are one in a million Xx "

"Well where to start. Angela the host was amazing so helpful and friendly. The setting well you could not ask for more so quiet no cars didn't even hear the birds , scenery straight out of a post card we sat most morning in the dark waiting for the sun to rise what a spectacular sight ,and at night the stars.The kitchen was a good size plenty of workspace gas oven and hob, bedrooms a great size high ceilings so the fans in the we're sufficient. Main bathroom a good size with a large rustic shower.we spent days relaxing round the pool with our dogs in sheer heaven. Can't thank Angela enough for her warm welcome and hope to see her soon ."

"Our stay was excellent. stunning views from monte clara. Across the mountains you can see Compares. A village on top of a mountain in the distance. At sunset the village all lit up with the sunset. At night time it lights up, looks beautiful. Riogordo below you, lights up too. An amazing place. The property was really clean and tidy. The pool was crystal clear. The hosts were lovely. Pool was regularly cleaned. Riogordo is a small town, bars and supermarkets cater for most of your needs. Malaga is only about 40 mins away. The property is easy to find when you turn off the main road. It was really hot whilst we were there, but a nice breeze, being in the mountains made it a very pleasant stay. Overall, an excellent stay and would defiantly stay again. Thank you Lisa and Julian for a lovely holiday"

"Our stay was about as perfect as you could ask. The pictures actually don’t do it justice. We had 3 families, consisting of 6 kids (9 to 14) and 6 adults. The way the villa is laid out meant we all had space and privacy if you wanted some alone time. There were 2 kitchen’s and lots of places to eat, either together or apart. The pool and pool area were special and where we spent most of the time. The kids loved it. The pool was around 4 by 8 meters and some of us adults reverted to being children, often bombing the kids. This villa is different in one big way…..it’s someone’s home, Peggy was lovely to deal with and checked in via phone before arrival. She was accommodating on our arrival times, gave us good instructions and presented a lovely home, that she is so lucky to have. Being a home meant everything you needed to have a great time was there, no blunt knives or plastic spatulas in the kitchens here. The villa and land is wonderfully higgledy-piggledy which means you can sit by the stream, walk the tiered terraces or hideout in one of the rooms, all of which had en-suite and were clean and well presented. Riogordo itself has restaurants, small supermarkets etc, but it’s all Spanish so you get to have fun trying to either speak Spanish or waving your hands. An easy 40 minute drive will have you in Malaga centre so very easy to explore. Peggy only lets this villa out a few times a year so if you get the chance, snap her arm off you won’t be sorry. "We travelled as 2 families, 5 adults 2 teens and a 5 yr old and there was more than enough space to accommodate us comfortably. All rooms were clean and of a very good size, master bedroom was huge, kitchen was great, very big with all mod cons. But it was the pool that took top honours, we had 8 in the pool at one time and it didn't feel a squeeze. I spent ages looking for the right pool as my daughter loves the water but is severely disabled but the stairs into pool made it easy for me to support her in and out. The other kids just loved it and literally they were in there at every opportunity 10/10 The location is very rural and in the 36°c heat just walking to the bin 70m away up the hill was challenging, so any idea we had about walking to the nearest cafe/shop was out, but having said that it didnt spoil our stay, we were 20 mins from the stunning Comares, 55mins from Nerja, 35 mins from Vélez-Málaga and 1hr from Benalmadena, given just how good villa was this was a drive i was willing to make, infact were already planning to come back. Honestly this was one of the best trips we've had, Carl was a very good host, with good communication and a very friendly laid back attitude."

"Just home from a wonderful and memorable holiday in Andalusia, Spain, where we stayed in this village-based property. Stunning garden, fabulous outdoor pool, modern kitchen and spacious lounge. Great location that allowed us to visit Seville, Granada, Cordoba, Antequera and Malaga with easy access to to amazing Spanish motorway system."
