Fantastic place in an amazing location
This darling place was perfect for four couples enjoying Hermann for the weekend. Shops and restaurants were easily walkable and we biked to the Katy Trail trailhead. Breakfast at the hotel was hot, filling, convenient and a short two-block walk. The home was clean and very spacious. We were easily able to store our bikes securely. And we enjoyed sitting around the outdoor table and walking to the hotel for live music in the outdoor seating area. Thank you for a wonderful weekend of relaxing and making memories! We would definitely recommend this property! A few tips for planning... - There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor and 2 upstairs. One of the rooms upstairs technically doesn't have its own door - there is a door at the top of the stairs and then another door to the 2nd bedroom. But it's not bad. - There are 2 bathrooms on the main floor - a half bath plus a full that is an en suite to one of the bedrooms. There is another full bathroom downstairs, plus large living spaces. - The stairs from the main level to upstairs are *very* creaky. But it adds to the charm. :) - The shuttle was $25/person.

Overall nice
The house was just fine for all of us, no issues. The only thing I would have liked to know when booking is the location of the house. We were on foot all weekend and had no idea about the hill we would have to climb. I'm not sure you would list that, just saying. However, the owners accomodated us upon arrival, going out of their way to come to get us and our luggage to the house. We just had to climb the other days. On another note, after leaving (already downhill) I realized I had left my Yeti at the house. Whoever checked on the house brought my cup back down the hill for me before my breakfast had settled. Thank you, both were very much appreciated!

Great set up for group friends
The house is on top of a hill. However, the hotel (2 blocks away) offers a shuttle, free breakfast, a couple free drink tickets, live entertainment, great patio food, and a lower level cellar style bar. Not to mention, our friend left his Yeti at the house and they mailed it back to him. We took the $25 per person per day shuttle around Hermann. Totally worth it. We love Hermann and will be returning!

Just as expected
We came for a wedding. The bicentennial inn was just as expected. There are two full baths, a half bath and four sleeping areas. One of the full baths is located in the basement. There are two queen size beds located on the second floor. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms - one bedroom has an attached full size bath. There is also a half bath located on the first floor. There is a small kitchen, a living area, and a dining room. It is located in a very quaint neighborhood, quiet and clean. Loved hearing the church bells. It is an old house as expected but it is clean and well-maintained. Steve is very easy to get a hold of and was accommodating for an earlier check-in. The main hotel is just a couple blocks away where they have Continental breakfast. If we return to the area, I wouldn’t mind staying here again.

Definitely Historical
If it’s historical you are looking for then this is it. It’s an old house built small and cramped. The beds weren’t great and when you walked down the steps from the top level to the main a couple of the steps felt like they would break then once you reached the bottom step the top step creaked hard as if someone was coming down behind you. What wasn’t historic was the internet because it was super fast. They ask you to keep your dog out of the main dining room but there are no doors to the room so we had to position chairs to act as barriers. The paper products like paper towels and toilet paper were the cheapest you can buy. Just because it’s historic doesn’t mean you have to give the first paper products ever invented. In all fairness we weren’t staying there for the historical element as we were traveling the country and were just stoping for a few days to rest.

Summer Get Away
Myself, my sister and a good friend and our husbands all met in Hermann for a summer get away. We stayed 3 nights and had so much fun! The covered carport served as our place to hang out in the evenings to talk, drink and unwind. We enjoyed the wineries and distilleries in the area. Biking the Katy Trail was amazing too!
