Only the communication with the owner and the housekeeper was difficult. It was not clear for us how to check out and in. And we received a strange SMS message from the housekeeper that we had to pay 100 euro extra, which was not true..."

"We enjoyed our stay here very much, the house is nice and roomy and well equipped. It’s in a private area with gate system which gives a very secure feeling although being in a sleepy village there wasn’t any cause for worry. parking space for 2 cars. We were glad of the airco in the dining area as temperatures got quite high in the afternoon/evening. "We stayed a week in this lovely cottage. I cannot praise it enough. The location is fantastic in a lovely quiet little village close to good amenities in nearby Benfeld. It is great for exploring Colmar, Strasbourg, Alsace and the Black Forest. The cottage is comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed. "Excellent location for exploring Alsace. I did not realise how beautiful the village would be. Lots of places to eat and a bar next to the Marie open until 7pm for a cold beer or wine. The house is terrific. All mode cons you need and a car park close by monitored by security cameras. The area was very quite and peaceful and we would definately pick this property again when we visit the Alsace again"

"8 of us stayed and found the property exactly as detailed. Bedrooms were all large with comfortable beds and excellent bedding, bathrooms with great showers. Really well equipped inside and out with good quality throughout. Brilliant location - 15min walk to town centre, 2 mins to large Leclerc, great for a base to explore the wine route. We especially enjoyed the connected kitchen and living room, since we could fire up the stove, cook, and enjoy all the local wine together! One thing to be aware of is the connected bedrooms. "We stayed for 1.5 weeks in this very pleasant cottage. It has a small kitchen on the ground floor, lounge and dining table on the first floor and a nice bedroom in the attic. The cottage is newly refurbished with new wooden floorboards and beams complementing the original 18th-century ones which gives it a nice atmosphere. The cottage is only a few minutes' walk from the vineyards and the dozens of well-marked trails that criss-cross the Alsace region, including the GR5 route. Barr serves well...
