The Tiskilwa Inn

3.0 star property
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (2)
"The Tiskilwa Inn is nicely restored mansion originally built in 1848. It has 5 guest rooms, all recently refurbished in the finest style. Our first night we were the only guests so it felt like our own private stately home. I want to go back so I can stay in each of the other four rooms."

"The property is nice. Lots of games are provided to entertain the kids and adults. Air hockey and Mortal Combat were big hits. The location is a one-minute drive from the entrance to Starved Rock and four minutes from Matthiessen State Park. The trail entrance to the St. Louis Waterfall Trail is right across the street if you want a quick hike. Or you could take that trail and hike to the St. Louis visitor's center.Everything was clean, and it was nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit....
