"The cottage is in the perfect area to view the northern lights. It’s just close enough to the nearby town and just far enough to not get the light pollution. The outdoor hot tub for each individual cottage is perfect to sit in and watch the lights. They have the cutest ‘community’ dog that is very sweet and so well behaved. Just be aware if you are allergic to dogs! The bed seems to be a bit old and it was awkward to have just one side to get in and out through as the rest of the bed is up...

"Had a town 10 mins away with cute bakery and food options . Our stay was comfortable. We got to see northern lights 2 out 3 nights of our stay from the backyard . Good location to golden circle . We woke up early and got to the stops before the bus tours came in and it felt less crowded doing it that way. "

"Gljúfurbústaðir is a lovely place, perfectly positioned for exploring the South Coast or doing the Golden Circle. Very spacious. Hot tub a nice bonus. Not a big deal, but the hot water smells strongly of sulphur (low carbon footprint!). "

"We had a wonderful stay at the Brekka Lodge! It was so comfortable and had everything we needed. Jon was so responsive and helpful and accommodating. The view was amazing from the hot tub. We would come back!"

"This was a *wonderful* home to stay in for our time in Iceland. It was a hub for lots of great day trips, but there was plenty to do in the house as well -- lots of great games, a beautiful kitchen to cook and eat in, and views galore. We didn't have time to use the hot tub, but I imagine that would also have been delightful!"

"Loved staying here. We only had one unplanned surprise. We may have missed this in the listing but the instructions ask you to take all your trash with you. We drove hours with our son holding a full bag of trash until we found a place to dispose of it. We actually named our bag since he travelled with us for so long. Other than our bag of trash, it was a nice stay."

"a 15 minute stroll into the city, with bus stops on the doorstep, a kitchen adequate to prepare a simple meal & a fridge to store whatever you need to keep chilled. I’d highly recommend these apartments, & am already considering them for my next trip"

"Anyone who has visited Iceland will tell you it’s expensive for foreigners but incredibly friendly. These apartments are very very comfortable and offer a great reception area to relax with very good buffet breakfast and friendly staff. The amazing thing is that compared to similar options, I chose this option to save a little money 🤗"
