Staying on a property like Horse Shoe Farm is a one a kind experience. Usually when I travel to a location that feels as tranquil, peaceful and understated as the Horse Shoe Farm, it's a major trek between flying, driving, layovers, etc. However not here b/c the Horse Shoe Farm is super conveniently located near multiple airports such as Charlotte International (great if you're flying from any major US city), Asheville Airport or Greenville. Arriving at such an amazing property in a convenient way makes the trip that much better.
Once you pull into Horse Shoe Farm, you are greeted by the incredibly warm and friendly family that owns and operates it (Jordan, his wife Rachael and their son Laz). All of the structures on the farm are beautifully restored, tastefully renovated and come with the most luxurious beds, bedding, and linens. It's the best mix of country life and the "good life." There is a lot to see and experience at the property, yet you don't have to plan in advance or have much of an agenda. I don't recall the last vacation I had that I was able to relax too much on the trip; however Horse Shoe Farm is the perfect getaway as they make it very easy to disconnect and just chill.
The farm is beautiful, with 80 acres of rolling hills, ponds, streams and stunning nature. There's a central building called the Silo where guests can cook up big dinners, chill with a cocktail or just hang out and sit by the fireplace.
If you're into live music, going out for a delicious dinner or checking out a brewery, you're super close to downtown Hendersonville (looks like Hudson, New York if you're familiar), Sierra Nevada Brewery and the heart of Asheville -- which is an amazing city to spend time in.
I can't say enough good things about Horse Shoe Farm. The owners clearly put their heart + soul into making this property special and you feel it the minute you arrive. Thank you to the Turchin family for calling this your home and opening it up to the world. Our family can't wait to go back.
p.s. the property is very kid/family friendly!
