The Space:
Idyllic views, cosy rooms and a peaceful garden - this family home for up to eight is the perfect spot to enjoy this beautiful corner of Cornwall. Located on a quiet road in the small hamlet of Newton-St-Martin, you can enjoy a unique sense of seclusion while also having much of the Lizard on your doorstep. Treath, the Helford River, Guwanlloe and Porthkerris are all within a 15-minute drive, while the iconic Trelowarren Estate is just 8-minutes.
Step through the door and feel an instant sense of calm. The front of the house is the original cottage, which has had a fresh refurbishment and an extension out the back. The serene living room boasts lots of character, from whitewashed beams to comfortable sofas and plump armchairs covered in throws for up to six guests. After long days, get the wood-burner roaring and find a film to watch on the Smart TV.
At the back of the house, find a huge open-plan dining room and kitchen with bi-folding doors that lead straight out into the garden. It’s a sociable space, perfect for rustling up big dinner feasts with space for six guests around the table and two at the breakfast bar or prepping fresh salads whilst burgers sizzle away on the BBQ. And when the sun’s shining, there’s nothing better than chilling out in your private garden.
The property has four bedrooms, three on the first floor - made up of two king-size rooms and a double room. Of which, one has a stylish en-suite bathroom. Plus, there is a second shared family bathroom with a luxury waterfall shower. Downstairs on the ground floor, there is an additional fourth bedroom just off the living room, with two single beds as well as another bathroom close by.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the whole cottage and garden.
Getting Around:
A car is recommended for getting the most out of your stay here, due to the remote nature of the Lizard Peninsula. Private parking is provided for 1 vehicle with free on street parking nearby. That said, it is a beautiful area to cycle around and is probably 1 hours ride time from the nearest station in Falmouth - including a stunning ferry ride across the Helford!
Other Things to Note:
Please note, the 4th bedroom has two single beds. It also has a bathroom in the next room. The property may therefore be quite well suited to those with mobility limitations as there is a bed and bathroom all on the ground floor.
The property can sleep 8 guests however please be aware that there is only enough seating for up to 6 in the living room. We have 6 seats at the dining table and an additional 2 seats at the breakfast bar.
