"Just had a 3 night stay at The Old Lodge with my 7 year old son. Everything was as good as it could be, amazing room overlooking the grounds, really comfy beds, nice bathroom, everything nice and clean, staff were brilliant really friendly and professional.. we didn't eat in the evening here we ate out every night but the breakfast was lovely plenty of choice for my son... Couldn't ask for more really and Malton is a lovely little place lots of shops and pubs ... Overall I'd give The Old Lodge 10/10 !!"

"Super hotel, peaceful and lovely grounds "

"This is a wonderful property and unusual for a hotel with a spa. It is located in the market town of Helmsley which offers a great selection of places to wander to. The hotel has a range of rooms - this time we stayed in a spa suite and couldn’t fault it. A large entrance into a separate living area, a huge bedroom and bathroom with fabulous bath tub and separate shower. Breakfast was delicious with a range of options. The spa is included in the price too, which is another reason to visit this hotel. The outdoor swimming pool was heated to a perfect temperature which enabled us to spend time outdoors on both a cloudy, chilly day and one with wonderful sunshine. There are 4 heated experiences - I loved the salt steam room. The quirky lounge is another hit- instead of loungers there are a range of huge chairs and sofas with blankets - perfect for a chill and/ or an accidental doze! Love this place and can’t wait to come back."

"Lovely little traditional pub with rooms. The room I was in was very cosy, but had plenty of space. Really comfortable bed and also a chair to enjoy a relaxing sit down and a cup of tea. Some noise from the bar on the Friday evening, but not going on until very late. Good, locally sourced breakfast and friendly staff."
