"We had a lovely stay at Lockton Cottage, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The welcome goodies were a great touch, and we really appreciated the tea, milk etc..after our long journey. We would definitely stay again."

"Holly Cottage is a mix of old and new with plenty of space for 7 adults who went to walk and catch up with each other.The photos don’t quite do it justice. Kitchen is large and has absolutely everything you may need. Heated floor lovely in the winter.The lounge has an easy to light log burner, so make sure you use it.We didn’t move the cars once we arrived, as so many beautiful walks right from the front door.A 2 minute walk to the village pub The Crown, serving really good food and the staff...

"My partner and I (and our dog) stayed at Gemma’s lovely cottage and we couldn’t be happier! Communication was prompt, the cottage was immaculate when we arrived and fully equipped, and the village of Burythorpe was beautiful! Highly recommend popping into the pub across the street as it was lovely. Gemma also provided several great recommendations in the guest book and we are sad that we couldn’t get to everything in our weekend stay! Would definitely come back, thanks Gemma!"

"This cottage is represented well by the photographs on the website. It had everything we needed for our stay. We are two adults and two children (15, 12) and there was adequate room for us all. There were no issues with parking directly outside the property, we managed to get a space everytime. Helmsley is a lovely place, everyone was very friendly. This cottage was an excellent base for exploring the nearby area."

The staff was very attentive, beginning with precise directions to get there and continuing throughout our stay. The hot tub was great and we had a couple clear nights for star gazing. "We really enjoyed our stay here, the property was well equipped with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. I do think the property does need updating a little and it would have been nice if the hot tub had been filled on arrival, the hot tub also needs a cover as unless you like cold feb rain wouldn’t have been enjoyable.
