"The Scandic Hamar is a very clean hotel and they offer a good breakfast buffet. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well appointed. What was not so good was the staff and their attitude toward guests. They were not friendly, did not smile or offer a welcoming word. In most interactions, they seemed almost annoyed to be bothered by have to check in guests, answer questions or service the breakfast buffet. "Alt stemte med opplysninger som ble oppgitt. Vi fikk i gen beskjed om hvordan vi sjekket inn sent og hvordan sjekke ut. Trekker på service for dette. Men når vi ringte alarmtelefonen for dette så ordnet alt seg! Den servicen var bra! Siden rommet var uten vann og bad brukte vi felles facilitetene og det var romslig og bra utstyrt og med utmerket renhold!"

"We were visiting family in Raufoss and this was the only lodging available in the area. It’s pricy for what you get but there’s no other option near Raufoss. The property is old and small. Expect a very basic room with no A/C (pretty common in Europe). There are drinks you can buy at the reception desk and breakfast is available."
