"We weren't there long enough to take advantage of some of the amenity 'extras' -- e.g., hot tub. But the room was fine, the view excellent, and the breakfast lovely. Our hostess was very gracious. Unfortunately, we arrived after dark, and the lack of lighting on the address made it a bit difficult to find the place. Lesson: Don't arrive after dark! "

"Wir waren mit 6Personen über Silvester in der Wachbergbaude. Es war urgemütlich, wie man es von einer Baude erwartet und das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. "Took the top 2 story suite. It requires walking up 6 flights of stairs but once there its a fabulous suite loaded with thoughful extra like coffee, cream and toothbrushes! You have view of square below through (small) window and view of city on both ends of suite, one from a small balconey. Includes a full kitchen, large screen Tv in a combo living room/dining room. A very comfortable small condo, one could live here. What a find!! "

"Wonderful, quiet location in a charming neighborhood. 30 minutes by tram to the Altstadt. Short walk to a lovely beer garden and ferry to the Pillnitzer Castle. We also loved cycling along the Elbe. For some reason, the access code was sent through Expedia instead of Hotels.com, so you might need to call the hostess before arrival to meet you. She was very gracious and the breakfast was a delight. A wonderful place to experience Dresden in a peaceful, clean, and comfortable environment!"

"Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Leider haben wir erst abends feststellen müssen, dass Abendessen nur auf vorherige Bestellung gemacht wird. Die Kellnerin spricht nur Tschechisch, hat sich aber per Handy Übersetzer viel Mühe gegeben. Alles in allem völlig in Ordnung für 1-2 Übernachtungen."

"Fabulous hotel! Across the street from probably the most interesting site in town (Dresden Zwinger, looks like an old palace, with museums), and about 2 blocks walk to the town's centra; square where they hold oldest Christmas market in Europe. Restaurants all around. The hotel has a rooftop bar with a fantastic view of the Zwinger. We had the XXL suite, and our kids loved the bunk beds while the adults enjoyed the other comfortable beds. All very clean, nice kitchen and bathroom, great value....

"What a great stay! The Staff Amazing, (Thanks Udo) for all the information and recommendations. We normally don’t do breakfast let alone a buffet but buffet at their sister property is a do not miss! Make sure you ask for Eggs Benedict wonderful. A washer in the unit was wonderful, let staff know and they will bring you a drying rack. Location is perfect, close to sites and a moderate walk from the HBF. You won’t be disappointed thanks Udo for a great stay. "
