"The stay was great! Very friendly hosts that went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The only thing I'd say is to be sure you plan ahead if you will rely on public transportation, as bus schedules can be limited on weekends/evenings. Additionally, securing a rideshare can be difficult as well due to the remote location. However, if you speak German, it's rather easy to call the RMV to reserve busses after hours, but you must do so 60 minutes in advance :) Overall a great experience and...

There's a restaurant+bar next door where you can enjoy food+drinks, it's especially nice in the evening by the little stream. Von hier kann man viele Sehenswürdigkeiten schnell erreichen, oder man startet direkt eine Tour durch den Westerwald. Wir haben die Woche sehr genossen und kommen gern wieder."

"Loved the cherry forest, the local restaurant, the open family space, the hot tub, just everything was wonderful. The only difficulty was the steep slope of the upstairs bedrooms which made for quite a few head bumps. Also the slippery stairs (watch out!). It was a perfect location for visiting our family and sightseeing."
