The Taiga 2, Studio Apartment

The Taiga House is located in the forest just north of Denali National Park. Once a spacious B&B known as "The Grand View" it has been remade into a family home with two vacation rentals. Our three bedroom, second floor residence is attached, yet private, with an entrance and yard of it's own, amazing views of the local mountains scenery and abundant charm.
Our studio apartment is located on the ground floor, under our 3 bedroom rental. With a entrance of it's own. It sleeps two, with one queen bed, full bath, living room/ dining and a fully equipped kitchen plus a washer/dryer.

Just the right place for us!
Clean, well-appointed and convenient studio for visiting Denali NP, just 20 minutes away. Close to groceries, restaurants, hiking, and sightseeing. The BEST apt. on our two-week trip to AK!

Perfect distance to Denali and one of the nicest places we stayed on our trip. Todd greeted us and offered suggestions for hiking and seeing the Mountain. We plan to come back to see Denali and would want to stay here again!

This place was great. Super comfortable. Easy to get to and super accommodating hosts. Todd had great suggestions for things to do and I took the Kantishna bus tour and saw 9 grizzly bears that day! I’d stay here again.

The best thing about The Taiga 2 is the setting-gorgeous views and quiet yard to enjoy. The cozy little studio looked brand new, super clean and pleasantly decorated. Two big window to let view in with black out curtains for sleep. Table and chairs and mini kitchen w stove are nice! Comfortable snug little spot perfect for visiting denali and still having a quiet cozy place to stay out of the bustle.

We enjoyed our stay in this thoughtfully planned studio. While small, it had everything we needed for cooking and laundry and a comfortable bed to sleep in. The furnishings were up to date and the local artwork was aesthetically pleasing. The shower was big for a small space and the water was always hot. The bbq, just outside the door, was convenient and in top condition. The hosts were friendly and responsive to any questions we had. The houses in the neighborhood are spaced a good distance apart and we had a nice outdoor sitting area outside with lots of trees and an occasional moose sighting. A really great place to stay if your are visiting Denali.

Favorite VRBO in AK
This VRBO was precisely what we needed for our 2 nights/3 days in Denali. Kitchen, laundry, spacious bathroom and bed. Simple but such a thought out and designed space. The host was kind and met us upon arrival. It’s about 20 minutes from the entrance to Denali but honestly it wasn’t an issue and we enjoyed being a little ways from the main tourism sites.

3 Nights at the Taiga 2.
Stayed 3 nights. Nice and quiet, very clean. The top of the line appliances all look brand new and the shower is fabulous. Nice warm, quiet, reliable Toyo heat kept the temperature exactly where I set it with no fluctuations. Todd and Julie are wonderful hosts, swapped a couple stories with Todd. I'll definitely be staying there again when I'm in the neighborhood.

The Property was outstanding. The property was clean and Todd and Julie paid attention to every detail. We really liked the provided laundry facilities and full kitchen. The view of the northern sky was beautiful, and we could see the Aurora from our window at night. I don't have anything negative to say about our experience at the Taiga House. I would stay there again if I had the opportunity.

Great place for Denali adventure!
We loved this little studio apt for the time we spent exploring Denali! Everything was as expected from check in (very easy) to the cleanliness of the unit. It was about a 12 minute drive to the entrance of the park which was also away from the "hustle" of Denali village. We loved the peaceful vibe and the ability to make a few meals at "home". The bed was super comfortable which made it easy to sleep in. If your looking for a place to stay while in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to book this place. Todd and Julie, thank you for creating a place for visitors to get a taste of living in AK.

Nice place in Healy
Very cute studio apartment. Clean, good bed, great shower. Small kitchenette was well stocked with utensils. Even a washing machine, an unexpected plus. Healy is small, but we found it without trouble due to excellent directions from the owner. Todd, the owner, was very personable and attentive to our needs. His property is large with a walking trail out back. I’d definitely recommend.

Had a little trouble finding place because there was roadwork going on and the street sign was removed. After we found it and Todd let us in and he apologized, it was beautiful. Best place we stayed on our trip. Secluded but only 15 minutes to Denali. Thank you. We would love to come back. Sorry we couldn’t get to meet Julie.

This Studio unit was clean, functional, and well designed. Very comfortable. Julie thought of everything you might need, even a collapsible laundry basket. It is nicely decorated. Todd responded within minutes when we had a quetion. It is about a 10 minute drive to Denali, so very convenient. We would stay again if in the area. Thanks Todd & Julie!

Cozy Home Far Away From Home
The studio rental was amazing! It was clean, well put-together, and had a lot to offer for a small space. We knew we were in the right place when we were greeted by two happy dogs as we pulled in the property. Awesome to have a kitchen, washer/dryer for after a day on trails, awesome relaxing shower, and super comfy bed. Close to town and Denali for the day trips. Felt very private even though it's attached to other units. Owners stopped in to check in, but left us to ourselves - and made sure we knew that they were there if we needed anything. Well worth the cost, and a beautiful property. Walking trail in the back was a great bonus. Stay here - you'll love it!
