Wow. (How can I give this place 6 stars?) My favorite thing to do in life is hang out with my friends, make cocktails, and have dinner on a deck overlooking a great view. This is the spot! This place is fantastic, 11 on a 10 scale. It is so spacious, clean, airy, stylishly appointed and design-savvy, it looks like Architectural Digest just finished a photo shoot- but super comfortable as well. I felt like I had won the lottery and had my new country getaway.
We had dinner in town on Friday night, at Chalkboard (also highly recommended), but made most of our other meals in the brand-new kitchen with all new appliances and a huge Wolf range. The decks, the grill, the view, the grapes, the "aermotor" farm windmill, the enormous fold-away glass doors, all kept pulling us to the picnic table outside, gazing at the barn and the zinfandel vineyards and watching hawks and other birds wheeling around the huge chestnut tree in the back. The road in front is so quiet that we never saw another car pass by, only a neighbor kid on a green toy farm tractor.
The rooms are huge and so airy, the bathrooms like spas with double-headed showers, the house is so charming and authentically Victorian, yet entire interior is absolutely brand-new and impeccably kept. Yowza
