Cozy, Classic, Comfy Cabin
Our group of five Seniors had a wonderful time. We rented both the cabin and the bunkhouse, so that we would have more space. The deck is a great area to socialize, dine, and enjoy the views. We sat on the dock and watched an Eagle “go fishing” for its breakfast. There are basic model kayaks and a canoe. We enjoyed the short drive to nearby hiking trails and Hayward. Patrick, the host, is very quick to respond to phone calls and messages.

Winter multi family stay
This place worked out very well for our three families to meet up for the weekend. We had 6 adults and 7 kids. Beds were comfortable and the place was clean and cozy with a beautiful view. it would be nice if there were more places to sit to eat, but we knew that going in. In the summer this would not be an issue.

Great escape
We had a great stay for a family gathering. Everything we needed was available and then some! It was a perfect week of fishing, campfires, pudgy pies and ATV riding! The cabin was very comfortable for everyone. Thank you for a great stay!

Great for Family birthday celebration
We had a great family reunion at the Birch cabin and Spruce Chalet. Plenty of room for 14 between the two cabins. Plenty of outdoor space to relax and chat. We rented a pontoon for three days and took that out into the Lake for swimming (if you want to swim off the dock, this might not be your rental…there are clues in the description to head for the public beach…) we had a fire every night, which was wonderful. Patrick is a blessing to work with: very communicative and a good host. We are grateful for his attentiveness to our needs and requests.

Perfect for work retreat
We spent a weekend here for a work retreat. We rented all three cabins as there were 13 of us and this worked out great. All three cabins were well taken care of and it was nice to be able to spread out. It was nice being so close to town yet felt really secluded as you can’t really see any neighbors. Would definitely come back!

Convenient location made it easy to get to everything in town while still having the lake and trees nearby. Comfortable sleeping arrangements for our family.

A wonderful week
We rented all 3 cabins for a family trip with 10 adults and 5 kids. Patrick was wonderful to work with. The property was exactly what we had expected and then some. The screened in porch was fantastic. We paddled every day, fished, swam and enjoyed the downtown area. We would definitely go back.

Peaceful. Clean and Cute. Perfect for Family Gatherings.
We had an awesome vacation leveraging all three cabins at this property. This cabin was extremely spacious (more than even the pictures lead to) and was perfect for our family. The furnishings were extremely accommodating and comfortable. We loved our stay!

Awesome!
We had a great weekend, minus the damp, cool weather. The house was everything we expected and communication was outstanding. There was another cabin rented to another party. This was not a problem for us, we shared the rafts and both had bonfires and it was no big deal. I only mention this because it says it won't be rented out to other parties, so if you are looking for some alone quite family time, it may or may not be that! Like I said, there is plenty of room to share, but wanted to be sure others knew it might not be just them as the information states. Thanks for a great relaxing few days, just wish it would have been warmer!

The perfect charming retreat.
The host made check in so easy and left a super gift for us to enjoy. I loved the sleeping porch. We were able to have relatives over every day and sit at the kitchen table and share meals and stories. We had snacks and drinks in the living room-just perfect. Everything was clean and the bathroom worked for us, 3 people. The kitchen is a joy- dishwasher! Beautiful views out the windows. Loved the deck, well equipped for quests and the dock and firepit! We had wi-fi and cable! My mom is in a wheelchair and that worked perfectly. This cabin has great charm and character. I hope you are lucky enough to stay there.

This cottage on the lake is a favorite of ours
This comfy cottage on the lake is a favorite place of ours. We love the sleeping porch overlooking the lake and the wood burning fireplace. We have stayed at this cottage many tines over the years and are looking forward to our next visit. Patrick was great to work with and very responsive.

Family of 16 gathered here for a wonderful stay
The cluster of three cabins was ideal for 8 adults and 8 children. Each family had their own cabin, and grandma and grandpa joined the largest family in the largest cabin. The cabins were clean, well equipped, very comfortable and playfully decorated. The kayaks were a hit for the children ranging in age from 5-10. Our only disappointment was in not catching any fish. But we had a great time anyway!

Great Location!
We had a great time here! House is situated right on Lake Hayward with great views and a pier. Owner was extremely responsive and helpful when we had some questions. Interior was clean and updated. Slept five individuals comfortably although communal areas were sometimes a tad tight. We would definitely recommend and come back next time we are in Hayward!

Nice cozy cabin
We enjoyed our stay! Cabin was very clean and had everything we may have forgotten. One of the advantages is that it is very close to town. Easy to go to shops, pick up food, etc. Also enjoyed the kayaks. The lake was quiet and allowed for kayaking all around the lake. Cabin is also close to other attractions. We took day trips to Copper Falls and the Apostle Islands. Both were only an hour or so away. The only minor thing to mention is that the dock/lake area was weedy. This did not allow for swimming. Would recommend this property for a vacation.

Great place for a family reunion
Three large families and two grandparents spent four nights here. We took over the main building and the two smaller buildings. The kids had a great time canoeing, kayaking, fishing, biking, watching the sunset, building campfires and being together. We don't need a lot of night life and found Hayward to have enough of what we needed (good grocery store and plenty of outdoor activities). There was enough space (inside, on the two large porches and on the two piers) for the kids to hangout without being under the eye of their parents. There was a small plumbing problem that was taken care of quickly. We'd come again if it wasn't for the 7 hour drive from Chicago.

Quaint and charming
We had a great stay! Only downfall was there was a foul smell the last couple of days, not sure if it was the garbage or the sewer system. Not a lake that you necessarily can swim in, but location was perfect and there was a nearby beach. Comfortable accommodations!
