Superb Two Bedroomed Apartment Situated In A Beautiful Seaside Village

Gwithian Holidays offer superb 3 Star self catering accommodation in the village of Gwithian, just a short walk from the three mile stretch of golden beaches that forms St Ives Bay on Cornwall's north coast. We aim to offer you good value, comfortable accommodation with excellent facilities, to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. We’ve provided all the things that we want when on holiday, and tried to make the suites a real home away from home.

Wolf Rock is a first floor two bedroom apartment that has one double and one twin bedroom. The living area has a picture window looking across the garden and fields, perfect for soaking up the sun during the day, and watching the sunset in the evening. An extra single bed can be made up in the double room if needed, so larger families, or groups of four singles can still be accommodated. For all families, the bathroom’s powerful shower is perfect for hosing down the kids at the end of the day, and the small balcony doubles as a wetsuit drying area if needed.

Our self catering accommodation is totally self contained, and we provide you with proper kitchens and all the cooking equipment you need. The beds are comfy, the showers are powerful and the furnishings are clean and stylish.
Gwithian Holidays is sandwiched between open countryside and the Towans (Cornish for sand-dunes), and close to the popular towns of St Ives, Penzance and Hayle, making Gwithian an ideal base for a relaxing Cornish holiday. Falmouth, Truro and Newquay are all within easy driving distance, as well as the the countryside of Lands End and The Lizard peninsula. The tourist attractions of the outdoor Minack Theatre and the spectacular Eden Project are also a short drive away. There’s tons to do around here, and Gwithian Holidays is the ideal place to return after a long day enjoying all that Cornwall has to offer.

All of our accommodation is designed for you to live in, not just stay in. The kitchens are fully equipped with proper ovens, dishwashers and all the equipment you could possibly need. The bedrooms have comfy mattresses and pillows and the living areas are all designed for comfort as well as practicality. We provide you with TV and DVD players for entertainment as well as central heating to keep you toasty warm as the days get shorter. Linen, towels and electricity are included in the tariffs, so all you need to bring are your personal items and your holiday is sorted.

And if you don't fancy cooking every night we are lucky enough to be located just a short walk from our local pub - the Red River Inn - which has an excellent reputation for it's food and ales.

Positiv: netter Kontakt, Wechsel der Handtücher war problemlos möglich, toller Strand (Wellenreiten, Schwimmen), Rabatt bei Surfschule Negativ: im Bad musste Nachgereinigt werden (was auch schnell und unkompliziert erfolgte), kaum Platz zum Wäsche trocknen bei schlechten Wetter, gefühlt waren es keine 80 Quadratmeter, wenig Stauraum für einen längeren Aufenthalt (Küche, Kleiderschränke). Insgesamt waren wir in Küche und Bad mit der Sauberkeit nicht zufrieden.

Clean and tidy
The place is clean and tidy, and furnished with neutral but practical decor. The property we were in seemed to have been recently decorated. The bathroom had heated flooring, but the bath itself was too small to stretch out in fully and properly relax. The kitchen had enough dishes etc. that we could prepare and cook our meals without any problems. The internet provision was always adequate, except for one night when it failed completely; it was up and running by the following morning. Laundry facilities are located in a separate room and is shared with the other occupants. A couple of small matters needed attending to during our stay (we could not lock the front door for example): they were dealt with quickly and efficiently by a friendly individual who was covering for the owners, who were away. It is about a 20-minute walk to the beach, and the path is pleasant and flat. There are no shops or convenience stores in the village or within a short walking distance. The people at the parish church were friendly and welcoming on the Sunday that we visited them. I would consider a re-visit, but for the price might also look elsewhere, in case I could get something for the same cost but a little closer to the beach. If you like staying somewhere quirky and individual, this is not for you. It you want something reliable and comfortable, then you will not have much to complain about if you stay here, as along as you are happy with what you are paying for.

Had a pleasant stay, apartment could have been cleaner in places & Sofa had springs hanging out of bottom. Great location to visit, Owners very helpfull and pub on the door step, with excellent food and beers! Very enjoyable holiday!

Summer at its best
Fabulous stay for us. Apartment was light, airy and clean. Could just do with a little more storage space in kitchen, some hooks for coats etc. Maybe a clothes aired too. Will be even better next year when we have booked a downstairs apartment to make it easier with the four legged friend.

Modern, comfortable relaxing stay
The apartment was very modern and comfortable. Its location is only a short walk (about 15mins) down the road and across the dunes to the wonderful sandy beach. It was great that we could bring the dog with us and made it a bit more home from home. The facilities in the apartment are great, modern fridge freezer, cooker and dishwasher, could do with a little more cupboard space to place all your food purchases and somewhere to hang your coats but otherwise very well equipt with a cafetiere and latte mugs and a few family favourite games! Tyson was great with his communication and it wasn't a problem that we were arriving late at night, popping in to visit us the following day. Thanks for a lovely stay The Harveys
