Waterfront Vacation Home, Golf-Fish-Swim, Sleeps 12 in Wooded Resort

Rock Springs Retreat is an amazing home located on Lake Greenbriar, which is the largest lake in Holly Lake Ranch. This lake is great for fishing, boating, skiing, and tubing. The boat ramp is less than 1/2 mile from the house and we have a boat dock to tie up your boat or water toys.
What a perfect location for a large family, family retreat, or friends getaway. There is a huge deck that overlooks the lake and wraps around to a screened porch. It is the perfect spot for cooking out, watching sunsets and wildlife!
The home has an open floor plan that welcomes you from the moment you walk in. The kitchen is perfect for those large get-togethers and features an island a and a large breakfast bar. Three of the bedrooms have large windows with lake view! The master bedroom is conveniently located on the lower level. Above the garage is a game room with a pool table and in the screened porch we have a ping pong table. Stroll down the boardwalk to your own private fishing dock! Holly Lake Ranch is a beautiful, gated resort community in the Piney Woods of East Texas.
Amenities such as golf, swimming pools, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, mini-golf, horseshoes, shuffle board, volley ball, etc. are available to all of our guests. So bring your family or friends to Rock Springs Retreat for a memorable vacation and enjoy the beauty of Holly Lake Ranch!

Please note that as of April 1, 2022 there will be a fee for guests to bring motored watercraft in to Holly Lake Ranch to use on the private lakes. The fee is $50 and is good for three days.

The house is very spacious and comfortable. We had a very relaxing time with our family. It worked out great for enjoying the solar eclipse plus extra days just for fun. The location is beautiful and the owners are excellent at communication. We are glad we stayed here.

The property had Great Lake access. The home was spacious, and accommodations were very comfortable. The cooking equipment (stove and grill) need to be serviced or upgraded, but they were functional. There were lots of amenities with the property that kept everyone occupied. Our family enjoyed the time.

Great Get-a-Way
Our family really enjoyed our stay at Holly Lake Ranch. It was like harkening back to simpler times. The kids loved the amenities at the activity centers. Adults enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings watching the deer come by while the kids played ping pong. House was very well kept and equipped. We even caught a few bass and crappie.

Perfect Relaxing Weekend
Although the house is very comfortable, we spent most of our time outdoors with perfect warm autumn days. Deer roam the neighborhood and we enjoyed seeing them everyday in the backyard. The kitchen is spacious and provided plenty of space for us to work in the kitchen together. An overall relaxing weekend for our group to de-stress and renew surrounded by nature. I look forward to returning in November!

Great for a quick weekend getaway
We had a very nice trip to Rock Springs Retreat. Arrived Friday night, house was comfortably a/c cool. Perfect sunset over the lake for evening cocktails on the dock. There is ample room for quality time on the porch. I would suggest that guests bring some "river shoes" and float tubes for wading in to the lake. Enjoyed morning coffee on the dock with egrets, blue herons and a bald eagle flyover! House in good condition with plenty of cooking utensils, glassware, etc. I would rent here again.

Return visit to our favorite property!
I take my family on a weekend trip around the holidays every year and this was on our list for a return visit. Second trip was even better than the first. There’s something for all ages to enjoy between the pool room, ping pong table, huge lake view porch with rocking chairs, and dock. We love the open floor plan and large kitchen which is well stocked with dishes and cooking/baking dishes and utensils. Everything about renting this property was easy and efficient. My favorite part is watching the deer that wander through each morning. It’s fun to drink morning coffee and enjoy the view. Kids kept busy with indoor/outdoor games, video games, and hiking the trails.

Lakeside Family Thanksgiving
We had our family Thanksgiving here again this year, and we were thrilled once again! This is the perfect home for large or multi family gathering. There is plenty of room and privacy for everyone. Kitchen is large enough for multiple people to work at the same time comfortably. The whole family enjoyed the fishing from the dock, my son caught a 5 pound bass and a ton of catfish...so be sure to bring your fishing poles! Home is clean and nicely furnished. There are neighbors around the property, but you have plenty of privacy. It's quiet and peaceful on the huge, covered back porch. where you can watch the deer roam through the yard. We will be back again!!

AMAZING!
Everything was wonderful! The house is spacious, has everything you could need to cook, to relax and to have fun. Whenever anyone needed anything in the kitchen all we had to do was look for it--it was there. Even as I was grilling chicken on the deck, I wished I had brought my meat thermometer--no problem, there was even one of those available! The game & dvd video cabinet was well-stocked; there was even plenty of books if you wanted to read. However, we spent most of our time outside fishing or just relaxing in the wooden rocking chairs on the big back porch. We took a couple of walks in the neighborhood, enjoyed seeing all the deer, and everyone was so friendly! We thoroughly loved the weekend! We hope we can go back again soon. It was ALL amazing!

Excellent location for a family getaway.
We picked this house based on its location between all of my family members. We were looking for a relaxing and quit getaway so my family could enjoy Thanksgiving together. The owners of the residence were extremely receptive and quick to respond to any questions I had. The house has more than enough room to fit a family twice the size of mine; therefore we were extremely comfortable. All of the windows allowed my nieces and nephew to see the plethora of deer that walk around both in the front and back yard of the property. Sitting down by the lake and having a cup of coffee at 0630 was so relaxing. While down there, a spike buck walked past me. He was no more than 5-7 yards away from me. The only issue we had was with the stairs and handrail for the stairs. On Thanksgiving morning the handrail broke off as I was walking down the stairs with my baby nephew in my hands. I am thankful it wasn't my older mother, because she would have had to go to the closes hospital... wherever that would have been. I called and emailed Joe when it occurred and he indicated he would handle it after we departed the residence. Throughout our stay, 3 of my family members slipped on the stairs and fail to their rumps. The stairs are older and narrow as they bend around the corner. I would recommend that you do not wear socks going up or down the stairs, as that was a major factor in our falls. Overall we had a great time andI would recommend it to anyone looking for a great get away.

My family and I came to visit friends that live in the area. We had a fabulous stay! House was super clean, location was over the top with the view of the lake and walk to relax on the boat dock! Definitely will stay again when we come back!
