"It's an old Hilton hotel, a little shabby at the edges but comfortable with a gym, pool, a spacious room with kettle and fridge and all the extras included. The late check out of 12 meant we could relax, swim have breakfast rather than rushing around to get ready to leave. Price was good too for a family of 4. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. "

"Very clean, staff were very polite. Only one thing I think is the shower which was over the bath did not have a handrail or rubber mat! My wife & I are in our late seventies and thought without these items it was quite slippery & dangerous! Other than that very pleased."

"What a treasure Rye has with The George. Extremely well located, about a 10 minute walk (albeit some uphill) from the station parking, a lovely old building that's in good condition. We went at low season so Rye was quiet (great for us, albeit some businesses were closed for staff vacations...not a problem), and very walkable. We enjoyed several small pubs which felt very cosy and welcoming in the cooler nights. Strongly recommended. "
