"We are a couple in our 50s and came to Blenheim to visit its renowned wineries. We stayed at the French Fields for 2 nights and it really exceeded all our expectations. If I could give it 6 stars I would. The location is super convenient for getting to the wineries. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. "The hosts were very helpful and helped us plan the best activities for our stay and organise them. The view from our balcony and the shared lounge were fabulous. Food and refreshments were excellent. We would happily return if in New Zealand again and would recommend it as a great location and place to stay if asked. "It's hard not to revert to the amazing view as the jewel in the crown here but the truth is that the hospitality shown by Peter and Pat was the real highlight. For travellers such as us we need to know ahead of time if we are required to take away our garbage/recycling as this was not possible for us. This fact may have been on the property description but I did not see it."

"Immaculately clean and well fit out. lovely comfy beds, full kitchen including a range of spices and all the equipment you could desire (except an ice tray). As new condition for everything. My 5 yr old loved playing in the backyard pirate ship and enjoyed the selection of games thoughtfully provided. Slight confusion about where to get the key and check out time, which I’m sure is just a teething issue. Otherwise faultless. Highly recommend "
