We were thrilled with this property until the toilet backed up into the shower twice on separate days, despite us taking special care not to flush any of the restricted items on the framed list posted over the toilet. (This is the only reason the property didn't get 5 stars on cleanliness, because it was disgusting to return and find dried toilet paper all over the floor of the shower that had backed up.)
We were awaken after midnight our first evening by tenants entering the other part of the home. Apparently the living/kitchen area of the other portion of the home is adjacent to the larger bedroom we were renting and the two units share an interior door. There is apparently little or no insulation around that doorway or in that wall, so it was very difficult to sleep when the other tenants were jiggling the door handle to our bedroom and light illuminated our room through the perimeter of the door facing and we could hear the foul language from the other tenant's comedy channel selection. This was very frustrating. Unfortunately, since we didn't have a phone number for the host, we could not get any responses to our email messages submitted through the VRBO website at that time of the night. We were eventually able to get a phone number from the plumber the day before we were leaving and we were able to talk to the host over the phone. The host was very apologetic for the problems we had with the other tenants rowdiness and the plumbing issues. Once again, we were awaken after 10:30 pm by tenants in the other part of the home on the last evening of our stay. We didn't contact the host as it was our last night there and this group didn't carry on very long once I cleared my throat.
There were no instruction booklets in the property, so we were delayed in being able to access the internet, etc until we could reach the host to get that information. The other VRBO's we have stayed at in the past had checkout instructions emailed and/or posted in the property in a notebook or on a checklist. We didn't find this information, but luckily when we asked the host the instructions were very simple and those were relayed to us over the phone.
We would recommend an additional full length mirror in one of the other rooms as well as one on the bathroom door. There is very little space around the bathroom vanity, so it would be nice to have another area with a mirror for traveling companions to get ready while the bathroom is occupied.
