Shores Fine Again is located in beautiful Hatteras Village, atop the dunes at the exclusive Durant Station Condominiums. This second-floor corner unit is tastefully decorated and has a large wrap-around sundeck, breathtaking views, and access to a variety of community amenities. Located close to fishing marinas, restaurants, galleries, and shops and featuring three comfy bedrooms, two full baths, a nicely equipped kitchen, a private washer and dryer, and Satellite HDTV with DVR, Shores Fine Again is sure to make your vacation memorable. This home includes central AC, cable TV with HBO, high-speed WiFi for your devices, and solid surface counters in the kitchen.

The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean views from every property. All condos have private oceanfront decks, as well as sound side decks for viewing colorful sunsets. Elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages - no need to haul luggage and groceries up long flights of stairs. Guests are just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway. The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast. At Durant Station, you'll enjoy a host of amenities including one of Hatteras Island's largest private pools with an adjacent hot tub.

The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for relaxing with friends, conducting meetings, wedding parties, and receptions, or simply enjoying the lounge areas, which offer a 50-inch flatscreen TV, a pool table, a gas fireplace, and a complete kitchen on the upper level. Centrally located on the first floor is a coin-operated laundry facility (which even offers an ocean view). A large separate fish cleaning station, shared grills and outdoor shower facilities complete the picture. The Durant Station Condominiums are located in Hatteras Village, oceanfront on Highway 12. Beautiful Sunrises and Ocean Views
This is a very nice condo, and while there were a few maintenance issues, I'm hopeful that Vacasa will address them. The view is phenomenal, and the layout allows for ocean views from both the living and dining/kitchen areas. This was our 2nd stay in Shores Fine Again.

Magical Place
This home was truly amazing. The beach front location with the wrap around deck made you want to sit and stare at the ocean for hours. House is comfortable, spacious and well appointed. Would recommend to anyone wanting a comfortable quite place to unplug and unwind.

The condo had wonderful ocean views with a great layout. Beds were very comfortable, and kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, pans, etc. Some furniture has been replaced in the living room since the photos and virtual tour were posted, which shows it is well-maintained by the owner.

Location, location, location and the view/sounds of the ocean are amazing. The Condo had every comfort you could want plus while you had people around (it isss a condo) you also had great privacy. With it being an end unit you got to see the sunrise and the sunset from the private deck. Would absolutely book again.

We love this Condo. Have stayed in it for the past few years. Needs some updating of furniture. Some minor fixes. All lightbulbs were dead in all lamps and refrigerator. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need.

Spring break OBX
This was a very neat and clean condo. It was great for us. We came early spring for spring break and a lot of things /shops/restaurants were still closed for the season in March . The condo has a beautiful ocean view and the deck is great for watching the sunrise and sunset . It is about 20 min from the nearest grocery store so if you want a more remote beach location this is it . We were very comfortable here it was just a little more remote than what we are used to for a beach location . Beautiful beach ! We saw dolphins from sitting on the couch several mornings while eating breakfast .

Best of everything you want.....at a very reasonable price!
Cooking is important to me. Kitchen is well stocked with upgraded pots/pans. Has everything you need and perfectly laid out and organized, including labels inside each cabinet stating it's contents. The only items you need to bring, if you need them, is a deep fryer, crockpot and rolling pin. Everything else is there. Next important are the beds. Both queens were soft, not firm, and totally comfortable, we didn't use the twins. Clean soft blankets and bed spreads were supplied. Both showers were great. Sofa and leather recliner were very comfy. The ocean views were incredible, front ocean view and side ocean view from your living room, dining room and deck. The entire condo was tastefully decorated with personal touches and thoughtfulness. I love that both bathrooms are large and has extra shelving to hold more stuff. Lighting throughout the entire condo was nice and bright. I have been visiting Hatteras for 43 years and Shores Fine Again is my most favorite. There is also a clubhouse on property for guest use with pool table, large TV, plenty of comfy seating, dining area for large groups, kitchen and restrooms. I was sorry that I packed all that extra stuff I didn't need, because this Condo is complete.

Love the place, but Vacasa? Eh, not so much
I loves this condo -- roomy, wonderfully appointed, completely well-stocked. The only problem we had was that the condo hadn't been cleaned by the check-in time. We had to wait for another two hours for this to be dealt with. Trying to get in touch with anyone was a hassle; there are no local representatives. Also, the info provided about the facility was very lacking -- no one knew there were carts to move in their items; no one knew where the laundry room was; no advice as to where to eat or what to do. A local rep would have been helpful. As it was, because the cleaners came late, we were able to find out what we needed to know. This was never a problem before. Once we got over this rather large hiccup, the stay itself was really nice.

Nice home in a great location! This home is an excellent value - close to the beach, with a wonderful view from both decks. The top-floor living room was spacious and comfortable, and dual-zone climate control meant we could keep the bedrooms cold while the upper floor stayed warmer. The house is a bit damp, which is understandable for such a humid climate, but if you have mold/mildew allergies this might not be the place for you. A dehumidifier would go a long way toward addressing this. Overall we were thrilled with Sandy Bottoms and would heartily recommend it - the home was spotlessly cleaned before we arrived, and our complimentary rental gear was a great addition.
