The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean views from every property. All condos have private oceanfront decks, as well as sound side decks for viewing colorful sunsets. Elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages: no need to haul luggage and groceries up long flights of stairs! Guests are just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway.

The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast. At Durant Station, you'll enjoy a host of amenities including one of Hatteras Island's largest private pools with an adjacent hot tub. The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for relaxing with friends, conducting meetings, wedding parties, and receptions, or simply enjoying the lounge areas, which offer a large screen TV, and a complete kitchen on the upper level. The Durant Station complex consists of three floors, which start about 12 feet above the ground. The parking lot and walks are paved with concrete.

All retreats are tastefully furnished and fully equipped with linens to make your stay comfortable as well as memorable. All Durant Station condos have central A/C, cable TV with HBO, Satellite HDTV with DVR, wireless high-speed Internet for your laptop, solid surface counters in the kitchen, and sprinkler safety systems for your peace of mind. Centrally located on the first floor is a coin-operated laundry facility (which even offers an ocean view). Some retreats have a stackable washer/dryer.

This first-floor corner condo with a wraparound sundeck has a spacious main bedroom. Three TVs, two DVD players, a VCR player, and a stereo/CD/MP3 player are available to enjoy. A large separate fish cleaning station, BBQ grills, and outdoor shower facilities complete the picture.

This home has access to a community pool, the community pools in our area are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Community pools are operated at the discretion of the community HOA so the availability schedule may be subject to change without notice.

Durant Station
Unit was well stocked with cooking ware, utensils, dishes and appliances. Clean, well decorated, and comfortable bed. Pool not open yet but that is o.k. Husband did use pool table. Hope to stay there again in the same unit. Had wonderful time.

Beautiful Home Away From Home!
My family stayed here for our 2024 Spring Break and absolutely loved it....in spite of the weather. It was our first time visiting the OBX and this home provided everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We enjoyed walking along and flying kites on the beach, even though we couldn't enjoy the water. We also loved exploring the many local attractions - the Sea Breeze Nature Trail, Cape Point, Cape Hatteras Light Station and the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum. All in all, a wonderful trip, from start to finish! The Vacasa team provided excellent directions, recommendations and support before and during our visit, especially the local team and so we will definitely be back.

Great Stay!
Walk over a very nice boardwalk to the beach. Very nice lookout if you can’t or don’t want to walk on the beach. Home was lovely, clean, fully stocked. All appliances worked great. End unit has a large wrap around balcony. Overall great stay. Thank you to Vacasa and the homeowner(s)!!

Cleanliness was less than desirable, pool was not cleaned the whole week we were there, the stairs to ocean were covered in sand could barely walk on first four steps, hair in tub when arrived. Great location, right on the beach, beautiful view, middle of several tourist spots, not overly crowded, more quiet than other beaches, could walk for miles, great shelling.

Ocean front does not always mean ocean view
I had 2 requirements in my search engine while trying to book this Valentine’s Day retreat. Ocean front and hot tub. I received neither. The only view we had was of the parking lot and the sand dune. And, there is NO hot tub on location. In fact, it’s a 21 minute drive and that is if there’s no traffic. The description reads shared pool and shared hot tub. Nowhere does it tell you that you need to drive to another location to use it. As for the condo, It was very mediocre. The ceiling fan didn’t work In the living room, and the refrigerator was making a horrible sound the entire time.

Super nice condo with great beach acces
This is a very nice condo! It’s decorated nicely with everything to make your stay enjoyable! The location is perfect for easy beach access! We loved it but probably wouldn’t stay in this actual condo again only bc this is a first floor unit. We had to deal with kids above us jumping, running and stomping through the ceiling all hours of the day and night through our entire 4 night stay. We literally laid awake one night until after 2 am just waiting for the stomping and jumping to stop so we could sleep only to be woken up at 7 am with them running down the stairs, yelling etc outside our window and door. We never said anything but we heard other ppl outside complaining about the early morning noise as well. This is our only complaint (which has nothing to do with the condo or rental company) but just be aware bc if you luck out like we did and have super loud guest above you it’s anything but relaxing. It’s such a shame ppl don’t respect others when staying in a vacation rental like hotels or condos. We have two children ourselves and never would have allowed them to behave that way when they were younger, especially staying on a floor above other units. Unfortunately tho most people don’t consider that. Anyway, we still enjoyed our stay and made the best of it.

It’s way ok
I rented this property specifically for the pool knowing the ocean would be to cold for my children. The pool was closed and I was not informed of this . Very disappointing. Carpet in unit was nasty. And shower head was junk in shower.
