"Great view over the many small islands in the Inland Sea. Rooms pretty small and still expensive. Breakfast buffet had many excellent choices but was very busy, and those coffee robots make poor coffee, slowly."

"A first rate Japanese experience complete with robes, slippers, hot mineral baths, traditional Japanese breakfast, slipping on the floor mats/mattresses. Great rooftop bar with harbor views and free drinks and ice cream. Great location in the center of town on the waterfront. 1) this town has few overnight guests and the bulk of the visitors are day trippers via mainland ferry. The town absolutely closes up by 6:00, not a single bar or separate restaurant remain open. The only places for dinner are the few dining rooms associated with hotels. In this hotel you need to make a reservation during the day so the restaurant can order enough food, if you don’t make a reservation your only other option is a separate less elegant public dining room with a more limited menu. "

"Loved the location and services provided: shuttle to train station, ferry to Miyajima Island. The breakfast and dinner- we chose half board, are amazing! We did not use the onsen, though included, so cannot comment. We loved our stay and will do stay again when in the area."

"A little bit away from the shops and other hotels and nested amongst the residential area is this gem of a ryokan. Got the authentic experience of sleeping on Japanese futons and bathing in the public bath. The rooms also had modern. Bathrooms and showers. Fully recommend paying for the attached kaiseki dinner and breakfast, both were amazing experiences. Our favorite was the breakfast miso soup! Can't recommend highly enough!"

"This quaint little hostel in the country was our first experience at a hostel. People were very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the third floor and there was no elevator. The room we had chosen was a Japanese style room. We got to the room and at bedtime had to make our beds on the floor (not complaining just stating facts). There was a cafe in the lobby/lounge area. The food was good and pretty inexpensive. The place is also filled with manga, ping pong, game systems and other fun things for guests to do. Other rooms were themed rooms (as one of the other guests was very excited about their space themed room). The hostel was about a five-ten minute walk from a small train stop that took you to hiroshima or to the ferry for miyajima."
