"From the moment we arrived to our departure several days later, the staff was warm, welcoming and very attentive. Our room was clean and nicely appointed. We had an amazing view and thoroughly enjoyed waking up to beautiful water views each day. We ate multiple meals at the on site restaurant and all were very tasty. We also took the hotel’s water shuttle to the Peace & Plenty beach club on Stocking Island and hung out there one afternoon. The hotel is quaint, quiet, safe, first rate and we would highly recommend Peace and Plenty to anyone looking for a lovely stay on Exuma. "

"This was our first time and Exuma. We loved that the island is quiet and does not support large resorts and the crowds accompanying them. Getting to and from the home in our rental car was easy; we booked two sailing excursions and dinner reservations that made a rental car necessary. We used the provisioning service provided by the property manager, Judy. There were some issues; items were out of stock due to the time they shopped. We cooked all of our meals at home except two dinners out. The kitchen was well stocked; we had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, which is always a concern of ours. The outdoor spaces and the view were amazing! We spent our days on the beach, kayaking and snorkeling in the calm water. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay! Thank you!"

"Our stay at Shades of Blue was absolutely exquisite..... Such a beautiful home with the most amazing view of the water! Even though weather tried to ruin our time, we couldn't have picked a better place to have my wedding and to be surrounded with the people we love! The owner Stephanie was absolutely amazing to work with and made things so easy! Definitely will be returning in the future!"

"Wonderful property with a fabulous dock on a saltwater flat. Cottage was tidy and had all of the nececcities one would need. Stellar back porch with fans and a great view. The Wi-Fi worked great during my stay and the AC quickly cooled the unit. The hostess was interesting, engaging and responsive, although I did not need to reach out for any logistical reasons. Listing was accurate and possibly undersells the fantastic view, sunset and dock. There were few surprises as the descrition is fairly accurate. Some things to be aware of, which are mostly mentioned in other comments: Dogs (they were great, but know they are around), roads (not so great, but it was expected), during my stay, there were (3) one person kayaks (which was fine for me), "the washroom", which is an outside locked room next to the garage, (key in desk drawer) holds a treasure trove of goodies, including the cushions for all the outside furniture, snorkel gear, the good paddles for kayak, washer/dryer etc..I had no idea until my last day. After you book, there is also a requirement to leave $125 in cash for cleaning on your departure. I was aware of this before booking from reading other reviews. All and all a fantastic location, hostess, and destination. "

"My husband and I spent a week at this cottage. We agree that this was one of the most peaceful, restful vacations we have had, due in large part to the cottage and its owner, Valerie. It is outfitted with everything we need, but if we asked for anything Valerie very quickly took care of us. The cottage is small but very cosy, and we found the bed to be quite comfortable. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the beautiful screened in porch. We look forward to returning - hopefully next year. The pool is wonderful, and we enjoyed kayaking from the private beach.
