Vermont life at Hill Top Gardens

Three story Vermont Homestead with five bedrooms exquisitely designed with an open floor concept. Large chef kitchen and a banquet dining room for groups who enjoy good food. You can also enjoy the sunset on the large deck surrounded by flower gardens or get up early and view the sunrise on the front porch overlooking the valley and Ascutney Mountain. Every season has its beauty on this property, but the view and foliage in the fall is spectacular. In the evenings you may decide to retreat to the hidden, upper stone patio surrounded by fragrant landscape. This property also offers a sugar house and sugaring in the winter and spring. If the time is right, you may also be able to enjoy our blueberry, pear or apple season. The homestead sits on the very top of 10 acres of private land with only 10 minutes to surrounding villages like Woodstock and Quechee and only 35 minutes from Killington. During the month of March, April, and May this property may be available for a discounted, monthly fee. For winter travelers, a 4-weel-drive vehicle is highly recommended.

Fantastic Farmhouse Stay
Everything was great with this house. Had plenty of kitchenware and very well organized, provided certain things that everyone needs when they travel. It's also a beautiful and peaceful location. The hosts were also easy to get in touch with and responded quickly to communications. Would recommend this house to everyone.

Wonderful New England Thanksgiving
This is the perfect house for a family. Plenty of space. Every amenity. Clean and comfortable. We did all of our cooking at the house and the Kitchen was perfect for cooks. Great range, 30" double ovens, all of the cooking gear you need. We would highly recommend this house for a family!

Lovely Fall Weekend
This house is well located -- under 10 minutes to Simon Pearce! It's a charming ride up a hilly road so the views are lovely from different rooms and several outdoor spaces. The kitchen is large and well-equipped. Quirky placement of light switches! Our host was gracious and friendly. This home worked really well for four couples (with a third-floor bedroom to spare). Thank you, Briana!

A sad time made happy
We needed a place near Hanover to stay so we could attend a memorial service for my parents. Hill Top Garden was perfect. The house is surrounded by beauty and peace. The view of Mt Ascutney looked like a Vermont postcard. Briana is a thoughtful hostess. The beds were all so comfortable with warm quilts and extra blankets in every room. I only wish I liked to cook, because the kitchen was stocked with so many neat gadgets that I am sure experienced cooks would love. I would have liked to have more time to walk and explore the property, because it offered Vermont beauty with so many places to sit and just enjoy the views. This place was exactly what we needed. Thank you Briana.

Quiet and Serene
When we arrived, we were stunned at how beautiful the house is and you can tell how much love Briana has put into her home. The listing did not do the location justice. We had everything we needed and we're so comfortable during our stay. We didn't want to leave. Our host was communicative and helpful. The house was clean, spacious, and had so many breath taking views. I hope we can return one day.

Magical farmhouse in nature and attractions
We spent a rejuvenating week at Briana's lovely farmhouse near Quechee, Vermont. The house was inviting, airy, and charming. We spent most mornings drinking the local coffee on the porch, watching the misty recede from the valley and hills that lay before us like a scene from a film. Our host, Briana made everything easy and convenient to check in. The house had every amenity for a cozy family get away. We could pick fresh blueberries and Jalepeno peppers from the graden, and while it was in a relatively secluded hillside location overlooking a bucolic valley, the house was just minutes from the village of Quechee, with its quaint covered bridge, glassworks factory and falls. The Quechee state park, nature center and spectacular gorge were also just down the road. Nearby, Jake's grocery store had a delightful selection of fine foods, beer, coffee and cheeses. The house was also just a few further miles to the charming town of Woodstock, VT. where we ate the best burgers at the White Cottage Snack Bar! We had the perfect, end-of-summer cozy getaway with family, enjoying books, hiking, biking and pleasant evenings around the fire pit. We definitely hope to go back.

We loved our stay at Hilltop Gardens
This house and grounds are so beautiful and tranquil. It is private and quiet, but not far from Quechee and Woodstock. Quechee Inn was only 18 minutes away the long route due to the covered bridge being shut down, yet we were out in the country to enjoy seeing deer and wild turkey meander around the grounds. The hardscaping and landscaping are museum quality, all done by our host who lives nearby. She invited us to pick blueberries as they were in season. As sweet as candy and delicious. The furnishings are all first rate, the house has all high end finishes, and equipment for cooking or just relaxing is high quality and plentiful. We were looking for a property that would accommodate our family for a 4 night stay and it was perfect. Without the light pollution we had the opportunity to star gaze the milky way, constellations, meteors, and the International space station. If you want a place to get away and relax, yet be close to most activities the area offers, this is it.

Beautiful home.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway to this beautiful property. The home is spacious and beautiful with a lovely large open kitchen. We love the maple syrup made by the owners. The driveway is steep but very well maintained. We had no issues with four wheel drive and snow tires. Overall a perfect getaway. I highly recommend this home. I want to go back in the fall because I’m sure the foliage is stunning to see from the front porch.

Amazing house and property
My family and I spent a glorious Thanksgiving at this amazing property. The home is gorgeous as is the property it sits on. Glorious views of Mt. Ascutney from a sumptuous front porch. The owner couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating. We liked that there was no TV in the living room. Plenty of other TVs to watch the game on. The family had a lovely time gathering and playing board games in the peaceful living room.

The House and property are awesome. The view from the front porch is breathtaking . We were so taken with the house, property and view we hardly left during our two week stay. The only draw back is the long steep driveway but manageable so take it slow. The owners live on the property are salt of the earth and always available to answer your questions . We even had access to the blueberry patch. Excellent blueberries. We couldn’t have been happier. Thanks to Brianna and Tim for making are stay so enjoyable.

spectacular mountain house
We had an amazing time here. The house is great, very clean and is very well appointed. I like to cook and the kitchen is fully stocked and overall a roomy space to whip up your next culinary masterpiece. We loved sitting enjoying the sweeping views off the back porch and the grill was in great shape. The grounds of this house are next level-beautiful gardens, lawns and a working garden abound with fruits and vegetables. Briana, the host, who lives on the grounds was so kind and helpful. Our family loved wandering through her gardens and learning about the crops and also their maple syrup production. Overall, great stay! The only suggestion would be to add a TV somewhere for families to watch together or a real couch in the attic space. With Tvs only in the bedrooms, we couldn't comfortably have movie night with our party of 5.
