Sweet little river bungalow!
We lived our stay, enjoying the back deck that overlooks the river every night! We had visits from red cardinals, blue jays, owls, and deer! The little house was perfect for our small crew.

Quiet Retreat
We enjoyed our stay. We were in town for a graduation and it was perfect for our family and close to Asbury. There was a lot of extras…toiletries, other necessities and coffee as well as little things not thought of by most host. Places to improve would be to replace the vertical blinds with sheer/lightweight curtains. The futon was a bit challenging to manage. I would definitely stay again. ❤️

Great cabin
We loved our stay at this cabin. We liked the remote location, however we are glad we brought our truck. We were shocked about how fully stocked the cabin was. They had everything that you would need. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Get-Away
Our family of 3 enjoyed exploring the area and cozy nights in the tiny house. Weather caused us to shorten our stay, but the time we spent was very pleasant. We hope to return in the spring.

Cute little house in wooded forrest
This place was perfect for my husband and I and our two pups. Kitchen has everything you need and house is clean. It smelled like they just stained the floor so that was a bit potent but everything else was lovely!

Cozy Rainy Get-Away
Even though it rained hard for 2 days during our stay, the cozy atmosphere of the little house made it quite pleasant! Add to that the beautiful waterfall that appeared directly across the river and we couldn’t have wanted for more. Everything we needed was supplied and easily assessable. We hope to return again in the fall.

Beautiful Place
The property was beautiful and a perfect place for relaxation with a back porch overlooking the river, a gas grill, and fire pit/wood. The owners were very nice to work with and thought of everything! The inside of the home was nicely decorated and very comfortable with all the amenities. The location of the home is also very close to the Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill where we enjoyed the hiking and tours. Although kayaks were available to use at the house, we thought the hill was a bit too steep for us to get them up/down so we opted to use Palisades Adventures for our rental which was just down the road. Overall a great place to stay!

Mother Daughter Trip
My mom and I came from California to stay in Kentucky for a week. We wanted a quiet place near Lexington and horse farms after attending the Kentucky Derby to spend time together relaxing, doing puzzles, playing games, watching movies and sitting on the back porch with a cup of coffee or a glass wine. It was absolutely perfect for everything we wanted! The house was well stocked, had lots of games, puzzles, and movies, and was perfectly situated in a quiet, scenic area close to several little towns and not far from Lexington. We loved watching wildlife near the river and the deer in the yard. If we didn’t live so far away we’d come back again! Hopefully we can plan another stay here in the future!

Everything you need
This place has everything you need and then some. Such a cute place with great decor. I loved having no wifi and cable. We got to play board games and have real conversations with our kids rather than them having there face in a screen all the time. My only complaints are that the road getting there is REALLY rough and there were gaps in the sliding door that at night time let in bugs (but because they have everything, there was bug spray to solve that problem). Great place if you really want to get away from it all!

Tiny cabin rental
Renting the property was easy. The property looks exactly like the pictures. The property was like renting a rustic cabin. Very quiet area. Great for relaxed time off from life. Thought the closet should have been more organized and cleaner. Also thought the trim on the bottom of the headboard was dirty. The kitchen cabinets and shelves need to be cleaned and the liners replaced. Enjoyed hiking, horse farm tour and exploring all of the surrounding cities.

Inexpensive for a reason
This tiny house was clean enough and nearly all of the little things you might forget are there for you. The price is good but some things should be fixed. The two sliding doors are broken and won't secure in any way, and the ladder to the loft should be secured so it could be used safely. That being said it was mostly peaceful and and ok for the small price.

Road Closed to Access Property
We were really looking forward to this trip! Bought groceries to last us the entire stay as well as bringing our kayak for the river. However when we got to the last turn for Hwy 68 which is the ONLY ROAD TO THE PROPERTY, it said road closed for 15 miles. We still attempted to turn on the road and about 1 mile later we had to turn around due to a bulldozer blocking the entire road. We drove back into their "town" because there was no cell service....called the owner and explained we could not get to the cabin. Unfortunately, we were never able to access the property.

Pretty cabin
We enjoyed the setting of this little house although the weather was rainy and cold almost the entire time. The house is well-stocked with basic supplies, the beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed the back deck (when we could) overlooking the river and Palisades cliffs. A few things to improve: the clean towels in linen closet were damp, the lawn needed mowed, the parking areas and driveway need gravel (the muddiness was made worse by the rain, yes). The VRBO description should state that you can only enter the bathroom through the downstairs bedroom. Thankfully, our family was pretty chill about this, but if I had known this arrangement, I probably would've chosen a different place. Even with these suggestions, we did enjoy our stay.

I fell in love with the house when we walked through the door.
This was by far the best place we have ever stayed. It was everything the review said it was and more. We took our 15 year old daughter and her best friend. I was worried about that because of no cable or internet. But she said this was the best vacation she ever had! The only negative thing I have to say was the yard had high weeds.in it. I got two ticks off me yorkie during the stay. Thankfully, we treat her for.fleas and ticks so it wasn't much of.a problem. We use the owner kayaks and rented two more from Doug and paddled up to the dam. We had an awesome tI'm exploring! Definitely will be back!

Cute little house.
Private. Like other reviews this place needs a thorough cleaning. Our white socks were black because the floors were so dirty. When we turned our bed down there were two smashed bugs on the sheet. The sheets were dirty/ stained and there were long black hairs on them. Obvious they had not been laundered.. Kinda grossed us out. We also found long black hairs in the shower and in the kitchen sink and dish drainer. When you open the cupboard doors the mildew smell was overwhelming. The futon smelled like dog and or pee. The kitchen and bathroom towels had a terrible dirty smell.. so we washed all towels before using.. The house is very cute it just needs a serious deep cleaning. Owner provides plenty of paper and soap supplies. The owner seemed very, very nice. Let us know the lawn was going to be cut while we were there. Appreciated that. Hate to leave this review but owner needs to know these things. This little place could be awesome with some much needed attention.

Early autumn getaway
Judy’s property was immaculate when we checked in. Bed was comfy; shower hot; decor very nice; kitchen well stocked. We hadn’t downloaded anything to our computer to watch but thoroughly enjoyed her vast dvd collection! Great choices Judy😉Everything you could need was supplied except I would suggest a dish drainer for one side kitchen sink! AND the glass patio door needs WD40 as it was difficult to slide. It was great sitting on the porch and listening to the quiet and being visited by a woodpecker by day and owl by night. Couldn’t use the fire pit as a burn ban was in effect. We did use the gas grill several nights though. We enjoyed our stay only wishing the weather hadn’t been 96 for 5 of the days! The a/c worked fine tho. We did things in the morning & returned to the cottage by 1:00 to beat the heat. Last few days were cooler so we visited the pet friendly Kentucky Horse Park. Would recommend it. Also took a relaxing ride on the Dixie Belle one afternoon. Went to the craft fest in Wilmore then onto First Vineyard in Nicholasville. Great wines& awesome history as it was surveyed by Daniel Boone& visited by Thomas Jefferson! The proprietor was very friendly & informative. We got shakes at the Dairy Barn in Burgin. Went to both Fort Harrodsburg and Fort Boonesborough. If anyone with a pet visits, there’s a fenced dog park in Wilmore at Centennial Park plus walking path. Also a great park in Danville called Millennium Park. Thanks to Judy for being a great host.
