Cabin Farm Stay close to Fredericksburg, TX DOGS WELCOME

Little house with beds for 5 people.
Special care taken to cleaning and disinfecting.
Private fenced in parking and yard.
This is a great opportunity to stay in a private isolated 1 bedroom house with 3 single size air mattress beds in the LOFT (plus regular queen downstairs), in the middle of a working farm with plenty of wildlife as well as farm animals.
Only 30 minutes away from Fredericksburg, TX with all of the beautiful peach orchards and wineries.
Children and pets welcome! Depending on when you stay with us, you will get to see a variety of baby animals. Goat kids, lambs, fawns, chicks, etc. This is such a fabulous experience for all ages. This is a WORKING FARM with livestock guardian dogs who protect our livestock from predators. They bark at night and keep the property safe. We provide a sound machine if you want it, but no one has complained about the barking!
You can see beautiful sunsets right from the porch, and the stars at night are spectacular. We now have two free standing hammocks behind the house as well as a propane fire pit.

The tiny house is situated right next to the main house, so you won't be TOTALLY secluded but the positive side of that is that you will have access to the owners for help/questions 24/7. You will get to watch "life on the farm" as we go about our daily farm lives of gardening and caring for animals. However, the tiny house has it's own separate fenced yard, so you've definitely got your own private space. Your dogs will be SAFELY contained.
You are welcome to explore the farm, but can have as much or as little interaction as suits you.

Peaceful & Quiet
Absolutely amazing place to unplug and relax. Sat on the porch reading books until it was too dark with no mosquitoes and only hummingbirds buzzing around. The dogs and goats were really friendly and Rachel was a gracious host. Highly recommended for a getaway.

Farm stay!
My daughter and I enjoyed our stay on the farm. It was relaxing to watch the goats, chickens and sheep right outside our windows and from our porch! We were able to walk about as we chose to visit the animals. The dogs were friendly and happy to greet us as well. Rachel was very nice and available if we needed anything.

Tiny cabin and farm
The cabin and farm were a delight. We could watch the animals through our window and from the porch. A baby goat was born during our stay, so we got to see it frolic and play. There are 3 major trail systems nearby: South LLano River State Park, Schreiner's park in Kerrville, and Enchanted Rock. I would definitley stay here again.

Peaceful property
The perfect place to get away from the city! The house is very clean and cozy. The kids were welcomed to help on the farm. They loved learning and experiencing new things. Perfect place to explore or sit and gaze at the stars. We will definitely be returning to this peaceful property. Just a short drive to Fredericksburg, the river, or fun state parks! Thank you for a wonderful trip!

Magical Stay!
Our stay was so magical! The tiny house is the coziest thing from home. The animals are fantastic to watch, especially the many hummingbirds right at the porch. We cancelled many of our plans because we liked the place so much, we opted to stay in and enjoy the property more! The porch is wide enough for one to do yoga, which was amazing in the hill country breeze! We were so sad we had to leave and can’t wait to go back! Also, the handmade goat milk soap Rachel makes is SO amazing we just had to buy some!

Cozy, quiet, and relaxing
The house was actually quite roomy on the inside, and it was very private. There is a gated fence surrounding the house and parking spot. It is off the road and behind the owner's house. Children will love staying here. There is a large upstairs loft, and farm animals outside the fence, including cats, a dog, chickens, guineas, and goats. One of the goats had twin kids, and two more were expecting. They were very friendly and like being scratched and petted. I highly recommend staying here, especially at the introductory price.

Quiet, relaxing, perfect
This place is just what you need if your looking to get away and detach from the everyday hustle. You wont be disappointed. The house is spotless and accommodates to every need you might have. Its roomy and the loft us great for the kids. They provide indoor and outdoor games for kids and adults. Exploring is a must and the farm animals are such a joy!! Rachel and her husband were so kind. Upon arrival we learned that one if the goats had just given birth to triplets and as we were leaving the next day another goat was getting ready to deliver. My kids (17 yr old twins) had so much fun they didn't pick their phones up the entire time we were there!! At night you can see every star in the sky. It's just amazing!! We definitely will return again and again. Dont pass this place up.

Life on the Farm!
My husband and I stayed two nights at this cabin and farm. We loved every minute! Brought my mom, who grew up on a farm, and it brought back her most cherished memories as she observed the cow and chickens. Very roomy, with a full-sized kitchen and bathroom, den, private bedroom with queen, and a 16'x15' huge loft upstairs for the kiddos. Will be bringing the grandkids soon! Rachel treated us to her homemade soaps, too! I loved putting on the rubber boots and petting the goats, taking a walk, and gazing at all the deer on the property. This working farm was delightful, a home away from home, and we can't wait to return very soon! The 20-30 minutes drives into Fredericksburg and Kerrville were lovely, and the roadsides covered in bluebonnets. Loved our hosts, and appreciate their commitment to making our stay very accommodating. We will be back!

Waking up to multiple rooster, chickens, goats, dogs (Red and Jake), cat, sheep, guinea fowl, and the extraordinary swarm of HUMMINGBIRDS on the porch every morning was a treat! Laid in hammocks at night and saw sooooo many stars you don’t see in the city! Rachel gave us some fresh eggs! She and her family were such a delight! It was the perfect home away from home that we needed. -Sally and Ken-

Perfect spot
I was a little apprehensive when we first pulled up since it was on another property but it did not disappoint! We had our 2 college age daughters, a boyfriend and our 10 year old. Plenty of space for us and location was key for what we wanted to do. Communication was key and we had a blast. Thanks!!

We loved staying in this adorable little cabin. The property was quiet and secluded. If you want privacy, this is the place! Also, being on a working farm was really cool. The goats were friendly and it was great getting to see the lambs and baby goats. Cuteness overload! About a 30 minute drive to Fredericksburg. May be too far out for some people, but it was great for us.

We enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing to sit on the front porch and watch all of the animals. The owner was very helpful. We arrived after dark and very good communication with the owener to get us there, along with putting a lighted sign out by the gate.

First time renting a cabin in the country, it was different and nice. A little further out than I thought from Fredericksburg, we left a day earlier (nothing to do with the property). Overall a good experience, owner was very gracious and accomodating.

We were looking for a place to get away and this was perfect for us since we are animals lovers. Part of me hasn’t wanted to write this review because I don’t want the word getting out about our new found oasis! 🤣 Everything was exactly as described. Rachel, the host, is wonderful. If you’re looking for somewhere to get away from the city and just relax this is the place.
