"Richard was a great host though there were quite a lot of strict rules sent before fhe stay and during which made us feel a bit on edge! Felt a bit like someone had let us stay in their home rather than we were paying guests. But the house is immaculate and grand so I can see why care is needed. The area is very quiet and theres not alot in the nighbouring towns. Probably Alnwick a 15-20 min drive away is your biggest town. You need to be self carering but kitchens well equipped. "This is a large farmhouse that can host a big group. It is very comfortable and well maintained. We enjoyed the property but be aware that it is part of a group of houses, so you have neighbours next door... This is not a major issue and made up by the great views. Perhaps one suggestion would be to add a BBQ grill, and a new frying pan... The location is great and the town of Anwick a gem to visit. We really enjoyed Nothumberland!"

"We had a great stay. The cottage is peaceful and tranquil . With a beautiful garden and views of the hills beyond It's a perfect base for visiting attractions, beaches, country side walks and the convenience of Alnwick for independent shops and restaurants Correspondence with the owners was great, a welcome basket was provided and the cottage was very clean and cosy"

"5 friends seeking a relaxing getaway and we found this little gem. Booking and communication was excellent we had to change our dates at short notice which was no problem. The lodge was beautiful, so many little touches from decor to candles and was very well stocked with everything you could need. The setting is stunning and we really enjoyed the wildlife and our little red squirrel pal who came each day. Would absolutely stay again. "
