Overall a nice hotel. Quaint and well kept. Staff are friendly and breakfast has wide selection with individual serving. The hotel manager is a very warm personality who goes out to meet the needs of the guests.
However, if you are thinking of booking a land tour, I would strongly advise you not to book through the hotel as the price could be as high as double from what you pay outside. Quality is probably the same as there are so many so competition is keen.
It may be higher priced than some of the other surrounding mini-hotels, but the Cinnamon Cathedral is worth shelling out a little extra cash. Located right next to the historic Nha Tho Lon (cathedral) of Hanoi and removed from the oppressive noise and chaos of the Old Quarter, the Cinnamon Cathedral also gives you delightful staff, free breakfast, and if you're on the cathedral side, great views. Almost every room has a balcony and all have ceiling fans, adding fresh circulating air and greatly contributing to the appeal.
Stay here! The location is amazing, great breakfast and the staff is beyond perfect. This was a last minute booking and on every site, they have one of the highest ratings I have seen in Hanoi. You are on this cute street right in the heart of everything. The front desk staff sat with me and told me about the area, where to go and what to do. They didn’t try to book tours or get money out of us or send up to a travel agency....their info was genuine and honest. They provided a map asked us what we wanted to do during our visit as we sipped our welcome drinks. 10 out of 10 service.

Staff was super nice and very caring. They arranged transportation to airport, recommended restaurants, remembered about what I preferred for breakfast,
They always went the extra mile.
Great location.
The staff of Cinnamon Cathedral is friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is great in between the Old Town and Frech quareter. The rooms and clean and tastefully decorated. We recommend Cinnamon Cathedral for anyone visiting Hanoi.
Perfect especially worth the rooms that look out onto the Church.

Little Cosy Hotel
This Hotel have a veiled custom of asking Hotel guest to taking off their shoes at the lobby shelf to exchange for sandal wear, and climb up the stairs to the rooms, without our shoes.
The room we stayed have little space for 3 persons, often we will get our shin knock on the bed corner which is perturb out.
There is free coffee with a kettle, but no teaspoon to provided.
One late night I went for a beer at a nearby pub, went I get back to the Hotel about 11.45pm I was shock to see the hotel entrance was shut down by the auto aluminium gate. For 5 minutes I was wondering what to do outside in the cold, as I was without a phone with me. Lucky I notices a belt button beside the door.

Great location near to Bustling street. Safe area
Clean hotel, great area. Decor a bit tired but clean enough. Good staff. Good choice at breakfast. Free foot massage and cocktail
We went in the last week week of Nov and the weather was cold which made walking comfortable. When you need a rest you can always slip into the many cafes or restaurants that are easy to spot. The hotel is walkable distance to Old Quarters and the market. Just a few steps you will find many tour agents which cater to hikes, one day tour outside Hanoi. Liked the breakfast. Simple and yet delicious! The staff are always cheerful and it has the feel of family!
This is a great hotel in Hanoi, I hiAfter much online research, my family and I decided on this particular hotel because of its proximity to the Cathedral which provides a really wonderful and moody French colonial setting. The Hanoi cathedral church bells ring every hour just like they do today in provincial cities across France. We had a great room with three beds (one huge king-sized and two queen-sized beds for the kids) on the second floor overlooking the cathedral. Our room had a lovely high ceiling and really nice contemporary decoration, not at all tacky. And above all the room and was really spacious and clean, perfect with a huge outdoor balcony with plants. Bathroom was huge with big bath tub and shower a decent selection of pampering stuff, and nice blue mosaic tiles. The young hotel staff were super friendly at all times of the day and night and breakfast was nice too. Price was good, and we were very happy for our three night stay, absolutely zero complaints!!!
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights while in Hanoi. As there were three of us, we were given the largest room at the very top with an awesome view of the Cathedral.
The staff however are the ones who make this gem of a place shine so bright! Always happy and ready to help, they go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one. With personalised bed stories handed at reception and weather forecasts; the attention to detail is incredible. We will certainly be recommending this hotel to everyone we know and hope to come back to stay soon.
