Bij aankomst kregen we niet de kamer die wij geboekt had. Volgens de receptionist hadden wij één upgrade gekregen, omdat de kamer die wij geboekt hadden niet beschikbaar was op dat moment. De ‘upgrade’ was alles behalve een upgrade. Je had geen mooi uitzicht en moest trappen lopen om bij je kamer te komen. Wij hebben dit geweigerd. Ivm gezondheidsredenen konden wij niet dagelijks traplopen. Er bleef 1 optie en dat was een andere kamer en daar moesten wij uiteindelijk ook extra voor betalen. Erg schandalig! Het enige wat wij wilden was de kamer die we hadden geboekt. Maar dit kon niet, omdat deze dubbel geboekt was. Het eten was helaas ook niet denderend. Geen variantie en het buffet was erg klein. En helaas zagen wij ook een kakkerlak lopen op de tafel waar het buffet lag. Omgeving was prachtig en het personeel was erg aardig en vriendelijk behalve de receptionist, die was niet echt klantvriendelijk.

Magnifique hôtel, très belle plage et fonds sous marins pour le snorkeling. Personnel aux petits soins. Superbes et abordables Excursions en compagnie de biologiste marin. Hôtel éco responsable, qui fait des efforts pour être le plus durable et respectueux de l’environnement possible. Attention car l’accès à l’île est compliqué, il y a très peu de vols domestiques par jour et l’attente à l’aéroport de Male peut donc être très longue (environ 6h à l’aller et au retour pour nous). Très calme, si vous souhaitez vous reposer c’est parfait. Mais manque d’animation et de spectacle. Il n’y a qu’un restaurant avec un seul buffet. La nourriture est bonne et de qualité, mais un peu répétitive. Nous avons mangé de délicieux poissons ! La chambre est comfortable, celle avec la vue sur la mer permet d’avoir une vue magnifique. Nous vous recommandons cet hôtel sans hésitation et avons passé un merveilleux séjour.

Die Unterkunft, der Strand das Meer einfach schön. Selten das die Bilder des Hotels dem tatsächlichen Zustand nicht gerecht werden. Das Essen hat hervorragende Qualität die man bei einem Buffet nicht leicht findet, leider ist es aber nur lauwarm. Ausserdem sollte man wissen das es keinen TV gibt und das WLAN reine Glücksache ist und nur selten funktioniert. sucht man Erholung und Ruhe oder ist Schnorchelfan ist man aber sicher gut aufgehoben.

Magnifique séjour dans cet hôtel dont l'atout majeur est l'excellent restaurant et la gentillesse infinie de l'ensemble du personnel Les chambres sont simples avec vue sur la mer et la plage à 10m, le jardin botanique est splendide, le club de plongée sur place au top, le seul point négatif est le tarif des excursions un peu trop élevé. Nous recommandons cet hôtel pour tous les amoureux de nature et de vacances reposantes

Fantastic laid-back charm to this resort, as the name suggests. I couldn’t be happier with our stay at Barefoot. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the food and service was excellent. Anything more would have felt OTT and unnecessary. Congratulations on doing your best to keep things natural and eco-friendly. The Maldives are troubled by washed-up plastic and the more you do, the better I like it. 😊

事前の連絡から、現地での対応まで、 すべてが神対応でした。 特に、砂浜が近いので砂がつきがちなお部屋を 毎回清潔にたもってくださり感謝です。 グローエのシャワーなどワンランク上のホテルステイを楽しめました。 シェフがイタリアご出身ということで、食事は毎回パスタで出るのですが、 これも美味でした。食事では、特に朝食のオムレツが最高でした。 テレビもない、お酒もない。あるのは美しい海と、ゆったりとした時間。 癒されました。バカンスにはもってこいの宿泊先でした。 ドイツをはじめヨーロッパや南米・アフリカの方々が多く、日本の方には、 １週間でどなたにも会いませんでした。 この時期、確かに海の波はやや強く、シュノーケリングなどに向かう 船はよく揺れるのですが、それもそんなものだと思えば大した負担では ありませんでした。スタッフの皆様に感謝です。またチャンスがあれば行きたいです。

Amazing vacation, amazing place
I went to Maldives at the end of March, to find a little peace and quiet after working way too much. Barefoot Eco Hotel turned out to be the perfect place to regain my energy. It's quite small, so not too many people around. At lunchtime, the whole beach could be almost empty, and I got the whole lagoon to myself. It was amazing. Obviously, not the right choise for someone looking for evening action. (There is no alcohol on the island / resort either, but you can get a drink on board a bar boat nearby.) Food was good, but in that heat, I wasn't too hungry. I drank the juice bar alcohol-free drinks instead, super good! Not included in the half board/ full board, though. Everything in the resort is quite expensive, so be prepared for that. Also, take small dollar notes for tips. The only tourist resort in Maldives located on an island where also locals live, it was a big bonus to get to visit the nearby village too, and see some local people and buildings. Village is small, about 1000 inhabitants, but has a few shops that sell groceries and souvenirs, and they'll take dollars. There are some cafes too, I never got to those, but apparently they would be worth a visit. I stayed on top floor of one of the beach villas, and had a perfect sea view from my room. This was my first time to Maldives, but I will be back. Very likely even to Barefoot Hotel, and I would definitely also recommend it to my friends.

Dieses war ein rundum gelungener Urlaub mit super Strand und Aussicht vom Zimmer. Die Kellner im Restaurant waren alle freundlich und sehr kompetent. Diese Ruhe war super. Das Wetter ist konstant immer schön.

Resort der gehobenen Klasse
Sehr gepflegtes Resort. Über 90 Angestellte sorgen jeden Tag dafür. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals ist sehr angenehm. Einfach ideal um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Hat auch genügend Aktivitäten, um 2 Wochen zu verweilen. Fantastische Farben vom Meer und wunderbar zum Schnorcheln.

La struttura è molto bella nel rispetto dell'ambiente circostante. Ottimo servizio. Cibo eccellente grazie al cuoco italiano Cristian bravissimo!!!! debbo tuttavia segnalare uno spiacevole inconveniente. Giunti a Male,ore 15.30, dopo il ritiro bagagli, siamo usciti , pensando di vedere uno dei ragazzi con il cartello con il nome dell ‘hotel o il nostro.. invece nulla . Dopo varie peripezie... telefonate e altro , abbiamo incontrato uno dei ragazzi che ci ha detto che sapeva del nostro arrivo ma , non sapendo l’ora e il numero del volo ha prenotato l’ultimo volo ... ore 23.20, circa 8 ore dopo il nostro arrivo! I voli prima erano tutti pieni!! Viaggiamo spesso , avvalendoci del web, ma un simil disagio, causato non da disagi locali , ma a cattiva organizzazione, non ci era mai capitata.se posso sapere cosa puo' essere accaduto...

A very pleasant stay at the Barefoot Eco Hotel
The Barefoot Eco Hotel is an amazing place in the Maldives! It's not your traditional Maldivian resort, since it is situated in an island with a village (normally resorts are located in private islands). This adds greatly to the whole experience! If you are the type of person that likes to learn about the local culture of the places where you travel, this is a perfect combination. The hotel does a lot of work to support the local community, such as hiring locals, providing free training for people to work in the tourist industry, tours into the local village, cooking shows hosted by locals and others. The hotel also tries to minimize its footprint in the environment. For instance, the hotel doesn't sell any drinks in plastic bottles. The location is stunning! You clearly get this sense of being off the grid, in a tropical place. We saw turtles, harmless sharks, different kind of rays (manta, eagle, sting), tropical fishes and dolphins. The hotel offers different daily programs to get up close to these, as well as to visit nearby historical places. The food provided is delicious! It's a mix of Italian with influences of local cuisine. On Friday's, is Maldivian night and you can have a full Maldivian dinner experience. Finally the staff makes the whole experience 5 stars! Everyone, from the reception, to the restaurant to the diving center was friendly and helpful! We spent there almost two weeks and had the time of our lives. We will definitely return, if we have the chance.

　まず、マレの空港での乗り換えは、ホテルからのメールに書かれている方が行なってくれるので心配ないです。ホテルのエントランスは、なかなかのもで予想外のウエルカムドリンクに驚きました。すぐに、敷地内を案内してくれます。綺麗ですよ！また、部屋のエアコンの電源まで説明してくれます。そして、朝起きたらパンフレットそのままのモルディブの海に、うあ〜！部屋がグレードアップしてました。窓を開けたままにしなければ蚊は来ないそうです。ハエもいないし季節的なものかもしれませんが雨が降ります。すぐにまた晴れますのでバルコニーのおてだまソファが役に立ちます。スノーケリングの無料のツアーは、その前に練習が必要との事。イルカ、ビウオ、魚はいっぱいいるらしいですが船で行く必要があります。がしかし、この海と砂浜から離れる事はできません！食事するのも忘れてしまうくらい虜になってしまいます。フードスタッフのお兄さんは、ディズニー漫画そのままなのでかわいいです。朝からロシアのカップルの男のひとが中でもとくに可愛い男のスタッフを優しく抱きしめて離さないので彼女が可哀想でした。あとドイツ、インドネシア人…家族、一人の方もいるし日本人は、私くらいかな？食事はイタリア系のホテルと言う事で美味しいです。遠いのですが、この絶景のロケーションの海を見た後では時間がたつのが早すぎて止められません！最後の日の朝は食欲がなくなり物事の終わりを感じさせられます。カタール航空の機内音楽が寂しさを知らしてくれるでしよう。こんな思いをするなら二度と行きたくない!涙が出ます。しかし他の海とは比べられないくらい別格の別世界の、この世とあの世との違いが感じられます。また、行けばいいじゃない！そうもう他の海には、行けないでしょう❣ ここは、一番最後にしたほうがいいでしょう。

Paradijsje!
Warm welkom met mocktail en versierd bed. Bij vertrek werden onze koffers van te voren opgehaald en zelfs al ingecheckt! Vriendelijk, beleefd en behulpzaam personeel. Prachtige ligging, hier kom je tot rust! Ons Beach Front Room was prachtig, ruim , schoon en met ligging pal aan zee. Onze kamer werd 2x per dag schoongemaakt inclusief fles water.

Ambiente und Unternehmungsangebote waren super !!! Die Rückreise war recht anstrengend, die 10Std. Aufenthalt in Colombo hätten nicht sein brauchen!!!!!! Nix desto trotz, es war rundum ein schöner Urlaub!!!!

Nice hotel
Place: the beach is very beautiful but with lots of dead corals on the beach shore, so entering the see requires shoes or very hard feet soles:) also the beach is short on sand. Too many mosquitoes and black-winged stilt...very annoying...don't forget to bring a strong insect repellent with you! Room: good hotel rooms. However, AC had to be fixed, had always to order extra towels, lights were out of order...but everything was fixed quickly... Wi-Fi is almost inexistent! Staff: all staff is very friendly no matter what they do. The staff at the reception was specially very careful, friendly, quick and professional. My special thanks to you Sara! Dive center: very professional, knowledgeable and friendly people. Learned with them the Enriched Air Diver speciality and also many tricks and good tips to improve my diving. They definitely know the surroundings and understand a lot about diving! Also act very responsive and careful towards all divers. Food: breakfast is not special. Meals are generally healthy and standard. There are variations between vegetables, soup, pasta, rice, chicken, local fish (mostly tuna) and local spicy dishes. Everything cooked very creatively and tastes good enough. It is a shame the poor variety and low quality of food offered in the bar (shame shame shame to offer an industrialised chicken pasta box for 12 USD!! It is awful and costs max 2 Euro in Europe!! Shame shame!)
