"We really enjoyed staying at Republic Hostel. The facilities are great, nice garden and swimming pool, games, cozy coffee bar. The staff was amazing and helped to organize trips and transits in the area. I would love to have stayed longer.."

"I had a very excellent stay at the BBQ Hostel, Ms. Dinh helped me a lot with the travel/transportation and trip arrangements. Many thanks for the great support. I’m just wondering why the BBQ Hostel got only 2* in Hotels.com? The interior is new and modern and I had my own bathroom for an affordable price. There are still some construction ongoing in the area but it didn’t bother me at all. I will definitely come back if near by."

"There were cockroaches in the restaurant, which I guess is ok since it is an island the the restaurant in outside. But there were also cockroaches in the dorm room. There were rats on the roof that would make a lot of noise at night. The breakfast was pretty good though and the view from the breakfast restaurant was amazing! "

"Rummet luktade mögel och vad i väldigt dåligt skick. Vi bodde i ett enskilt rum med dusch som även den knappt fungerade, vatten sprutade åt alla håll förutom i håret där det skulle. Även ACn fungerade som den själv ville, och den ville tyvärr inte samarbeta så det var svettigt och äckligt på rummet. Det byggs hotell efter stranden så där kunde man inte heller vara så rekommenderar att hellre åka ut på öarna än att vara här. "

Lovely and relaxing resort

"After several days in rural Vietnam in wonderful home stays this was a great change. A fabulous location in a well maintained resort with stunning views from our 14th floor balcony of two private beaches. Buffet breakfast was great and the staff was wonderful. Cat Ba city beach front was completely under construction with the Party engaging in a massive building project filling land for a new project right in front of the present beach. It's really a mess there now and I wonder how property owners and locals feel about it. The Flamingo did not face these issues. "

"First time cruising in HLB and will not be a last time. We are very impressed with how Grand Pioneers organized the whole trip of 2 days and 1 night at their property. Everything was so perfect and we were regret that we should booked at least 2 nights. The staffs and whole crews were so professional, kind and super nice. We will come back soon. "
