Enjoy and relax in this beautiful home overlooking the ocean. Smell the fresh ocean air as you sit on the deck that runs the whole front of this 4 bedroom chalet. Cook on the grill as the kids play on the front lawn and watch the 2 local eagles fly overhead as the beautiful sunset happens right in front of you. Kayak out into the cove and see if you can catch a glimpse of the seals out for a swim. For nightly entertainment enjoy the Game room downstairs which includes Ping Pong, Air hockey, Darts, Foosball, and a kids pool table, or get a work out in the exercise room complete with Eliptical Machine, Bike, Ab Lounge, Weight Bench, and Free Weights. Plenty of things to do on the property or many things to do nearby. Acadia national park is only 25 minutes away,shopping is 10 minutes away and restaurants are as close as 5 minutes. Everything right at your fingertips in a private setting. Please enjoy!


This home is kid friendly with gates located at the top and bottom of the main stairs and clear banister guards have been installed on the 2nd floor banisters for safety.

Beautiful spot
This huge house with stunning views was great for our family and another family to stay at the same time. We loved using the kayaks, and having the outside play structure and game room for the kids. The kitchen is huge but a bit bare-bones if you are planning to cook a lot.

Amazing oceanfront house
I rented this house for our family weekend trip to Bar Harbor/ Acadia Park due to it's close proximity and great location to the surrounding areas. We really enjoyed the kayaks that came with the house and could use on the surrounding bay. The homeowner was great and very easy to communicate with throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone going on vacation. Thank you, Josh R

Fantastic House in a Great Location
We loved this house!!! Our extended family of 9 stayed here on our recent trip to Acadia National Park. It’s a very spacious house with ample bedrooms & bathrooms, and the basement has lots to do with air hockey, foosball, and pool tables. You can’t beat the view of the bay. And having access to the kayaks was a real selling point for us. I would rent this place again.

Clean, well communicated paradise
The pictures don’t do the house and location justice. Location is peaceful. The house is spotless. The view 5 stars. Only a 30-35 min drive to bar harbor. Communication with the host was speedy and informative and never made me felt like a burden. Would certainly recommend and did not want to leave.

Great family get-away
Large back yard right on the water, with kayaks and equipment available. The entire home is child-proofed. Huge kitchen, large comfortable living room. Four bedrooms with fifth day-bed hall upstairs. The master suite on the ground floor is gorgeous. We only needed three of the rooms. The unfinished basement is full of things to keep kids entertained. Lots to see an do in nearby Acadia and around the area. Some great biking in the area.

Absolutely a Beautiful Home on the Oceanfront
WOW!!! The house was just perfect for our long weekend get-a-way in Maine. The house was well equipped, spotless when we arrived, kitchen fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals, the beds were comfy, strong wi-fi, amazing views, and the owner, Shawn, was friendly, available for questions, and even delivered fresh lobsters, right off the boat, to the house. The house is perfectly located for trips to Bar Harbor, Cadillac Mountain, Tidal Bay, Ellsworth, and phenomenal restaurants where you can eat all the lobster, crabs, scallops, and oysters you want. We look forward to returning to the host on our next trip to Maine.

Great stay near to Bar Harbor
The house is very well organized and as accurate as website description. We really enjoyed our stay , the kids loved that they had options as well. One recommendation to the owners is regarding the bathrooms. The main bathroom shower do not have hot water and the other downstairs bathroom has drain issues as well. This essentially made us all use the upstairs bathroom, which was a bit hard. Also, the play area outside is very fragile and do not recommend the kids to use it.

Girl's trip to Maine on the water
The yard is beautiful and access to kayaks was such a bonus. There were lots of games in the basement, which cooled us down during a hot August week. We were really wishing that the windows and doors had screens to have fresh, cooler air coming into the house. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and dishes. We did find the checkout rules a bit demanding, having to run the dishwasher and unload it, but still checkout by 10am. Linnens had to be gathered and a load started. That's typical, but I think I'd rather a cleaning crew does all that when you're paying a cleaning fee. Overall, our experience was very good, just a couple things I would change. I do recommend the house!

Our Stay
First I would say the place is beautiful. The owner had great communication. I was disappointed though because one of the reasons I selected this house was because of the downstairs game room. The kids couldn't play down there because it seemed everything was broken or missing pieces. The furniture was old and worn but we didn't worry too much about that. The cleanliness was good with the exception of having to run across 2 spiders and there being spider webs/cob webs in the entry way on the ceiling. Due to the cold weather we didn't do anything outside. Plus the Geese rule over the area and filled the yard with their poop. I think if the furniture and the gaming area was replaced it would have been worth the amount paid. Besides that, we really enjoyed the stay and the view was absolutely gorgeous.

Great Week with great views
We had a total of 12 people staying for the week. There was plenty of room and accommodations. The views were great. The kayaks were a plus. We had a baby with us and the crib and high chair were in good shape. They had other baby needs, but we didn’t use them. The new furniture was very comfortable and plenty of kitchen supplies. The house has one refrigerator, so bring coolers for a little extra room. The town of Hancock wasn’t the best, or Ellsworth. It’s a little run down but we spent a lot of time in Acadia hiking or sitting at the fire pit. Many of the restaurants don’t open for lunch. They open at 4:00. Walmart is about 15 min away if you forget anything. Tital Falls, which is 2 miles away was a very nice 2 hours of entertainment. Go at low tide to see the star fish, other creatures and climb on the rocks. Bring water shoes for a better experience. We had a very relaxing, great vacation and affordable. We would definitely rent again if we made our way back to Maine.

I miss it already!
If I could go back today and stay for several months, I would! We had 2 families with 5 kids ranging 4 to 20. This house was perfect for everyone. The backyard was huge and the kayaking was so fun. The kids loved exploring the rocks out back and playing tag in the grass. The views were amazing and the house had a ton of space for everyone to spread out. The main room furniture has recently been replaced and was super comfortable. The beds were also comfortable and everything was really clean. The kitchen was completely stocked with anything you’d need to cook and serve a meal for a lot of people. The house doesn’t have AC but honestly it’s cool enough - even in summer - that you won’t need it. When we weren’t venturing out to Acadia or Bar Harbor, we explored locally and found a little playground by the library as well as Tidal Falls, where they had beautiful starfish among the rocks on the coastline! The hosts were incredibly responsive before and throughout our stay. A few of my friends have seen pics and heard me gush and all want the link to book a trip themselves!

This property was a hit with our group. It was conveniently located to visit Acadia National Park while avoiding the crush of Bar Harbor, which can get loud and congested.

We were surprised to find the property, described as “oceanfront” was actually facing the Skillings River and had no view of the ocean. We have stayed at other VRBOs and we found this one to be much more spartan than we expected. There were no usage instructions or information about the area (e.g. food shopping or restaurants). We were unable to lock the sliding glass doors—only one of which had a screen—or turn on the fireplace. The towels were few and very thin. It is a big house and would sleep several guests, but renters need to be ready for a lack of amenities in an isolated setting.
