Snowmobile trails are only a few short blocks (equal to 1 city block) away and are easily accessible from the house. Along with the basics, the kitchen includes a microwave, airfryer, blender, hand mixer, toaster oven and electric griddle... everything you need to make a home-cooked meal.
Enjoy coffee from the coffee bar, with a kuerig, traditional coffee pot or French press. An assortment of teas are also provided.
Enter through the back HEATED porch with all you need to store your Winter gear. Plenty of wall hooks, 2 boot dryers/heaters, boot trays and helmet hangers. A perfect place for ski equipment as well. A bonus to be able to put on warm winter gear!
The enclosed front porch is lined with windows, rattan furniture and a ceiling fan....perfect for morning coffee or a cocktail in the warmer months. A sunny day heats it nicely in the winter months.
The two bedooms upstairs have very comfortable mattresses and bedding, luggage racks, dressers and the larger has a closet for hanging clothing. There is a queen murphy bed on the main level in the living area that pulls down for additional sleeping (the same comfortable mattress as the upstairs beds) A pack-n-play is available upon request.
There are 2 full bathrooms, one upstairs with a shower, and one with a tub/shower downstairs. I should mention the water pressure is incredible!! Both bathrooms have shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers for your convenience. Towels, and wash cloths are also provided.
The dining room seats 6 and a high chair is available upon request.
All this and only minutes away from MTU (3.2 miles away), 1.5 miles to Downtown Houghton, 1.4 miles to Downtown Hancock, a few short blocks to Mount Ripley Ski Hill and the Hancock /Lake Linden Snowmobile Trail. Only 46 miles to Copper Harbor, 2.7 miles to the Quincy Mine (a great tour), 11 miles to McClain State Park (Lake Superior beach) and if you're lucky you'll experience the Northern lights from many places just minutes away.
