" We came up from Kansas City and stayed Sunday to Saturday. Everything we needed for our vacation! The bed was comfortable, the AC and heat worked great. When we wanted to watch the Royals post season game, we grabbed our laptop and watched out at the campfire. Wifi Signal was great. Did some fishing. The lake was nice and calm. Standouts for this property that might not be apparent in the listing include: VERY clear lake with nice sandy bottom and few weeds (even in August), swimming excellent and water pretty warm. "Corie and Ryan’s cabin is exactly as advertised. Nicely done, cute and comfortable. She was very accommodating when we asked to extend our stay. Pleasant Lake is beautiful and quaint. The cabin is a short walk from the boat launch or beach. We look forward to going back!"

"We really enjoyed this rental. Lots of useable space. Close to many different activities so even though we only wanted to golf once, there was plenty to do. The listing should show a picture of the hot tub, which was a big plus. There were labels saying what didn't work well (e.g. the kitchen faucet) but why not just fix them. The bathrooms, kitchen and bedrooms were very clean; the main floor could use a deep clean."

"This place was awesome! Accomodations are great for 3 adults. But yet the loft was used by one and he was fine. Younger golfers or families would love this place. Basement in the future may have more options. Overall, we loved our stay. Grill and fireplace area were great! "

"We had a wonderful visit as a family. We had the best of both worlds, being secluded in a private wooded area but conveniently close to tourist attractions and restaurants. Our host was phenomenal and unexpected upgraded us to a newer property due to miscommunication on his end with cleaning the cabin we were originally supposed to stay in. Would absolutely stay in this area again! "

"We had a wonderful time staying at this top notch home on the lake. Great location for a weekend trip to Nordic Mountain. Fully stocked kitchen for meal prep and plenty of space for all to sleep comfortably. Owners’ communication was quick and responsive. We highly recommend!"

"The house is lovely, well stocked, with beautiful views and a spectacular lake. The area is quaint, quirky, and peaceful. We had plenty of room for the 4 families. Even tho it was October, we swam in the chilly, clear lake and enjoyed boating and fishing. 5 stars! "

"5 of us (sisters) have been vacationing together for the past 32 years. The location was perfect for us, plenty of beds and bathrooms. We enjoyed the pier and were lucky it didn't come out for the season until our last day. The only issue we had was with the stove...it worked but got extremely hot when run for an hour at 400 (per our recipe). It took quite some time to cool off as well. "

"We had our wedding reception held at this property. Everything was amazing! Chris was a great host and always was in communication when I needed. Great location with a beautiful pond. "We absolutely loved our mini vacation! Got out of the craziness and right into tranquility! Beautiful log home with hiking trails and a great little beach. We even went canoeing which is something we haven’t done since high school church youth group trips. Yep, I’m still kinda sore😉. The weather was perfect and so was our stay at BlackBerry Lodge. Can’t wait to bring the family back in the summer! You guys rock! "

"We had a girls weekend and it went great. The water was perfect, nice sandy bottom to the lake, hot tub was great, house had relatively comfortable beds. Neighbors apparently take pictures of the number of cars in the driveway, which I thought was quite odd seeing as the property is advertised to sleep 16 people. Other than that, the stay was great. Property is definitely not walking distance to any local restaurants or taverns, so plan on having a car to get anywhere. "
