The property is closer to the main attractions of Hamburg. If you are travelling as a family (with kids), keep in mind that the rooms are pretty small and the size of the bed is also small.

Top stay in Hamburg
Very nice hotel with a small childen’s play area, nice staff, cosy bar, and a nice restaurant with children’s menu. Plus u-bahn right outside the lobby. Can really recommend a stay there.

The hotel is very clean and spacious, with friendly staff and a good restaurant. The surroundings are peaceful, yet busy shopping malls are just 18 minutes’ walk away!

We had a great stay at the Novotel Alster. It was our first visit to Hamburg. The hotel was clean and always smelt lovely. The staff were nice and everything requested was brought up straight away. The breakfast offering was fresh and lovely and I really liked the fresh lemon and ginger tea bar. You are on the door step of the under/overground which was fantastic and about 12 minutes away from the gorgeous town centre. I had no issues and look forward to coming and staying here again. Thanks Novotel!

Exceeded my expectations.
I had an absolutely faultless two-night stay in this hotel, and cannot thank enough the hotel staff who made it so. A perfect location too, with a train station stop right outside. You know exactly what you'll get with the Novotel brand, and it didn't disappoint.

Disappointing Stay at Novotel Hotel
recently stayed at your hotel for a week and had a very disappointing experience. Despite booking the highest-priced room, the service fell far below expectations. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful throughout my stay, which made the experience unpleasant. Additionally, basic amenities like bottled water were not provided in the room, which is surprising given the price point and standard one would expect. Also lot of sounds as some work going on. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the service and guest experience.

Everything seemed fine until we decided to have a drink in the bar are on the last night. That’s when Ratatouille decided to appear and run under the window on the carpet. I noticed at breakfast there were bait boxes on the dining area so obviously there is a rodent problem

Full house and still good
A somewhat confusing stay. I understand they were very busy the weekend I stayed, but still housekeeping should work. Second day I was out all morning and came back for an afternoon nap, and first the tea/coffee person came by to make refills and about 40min later housekeeping. The day of leaving checkout is at noon and they came by not less than three times between breakfast and my leaving. Apart from that a very nice stay. They organized breakfast really good with all the people there.

Sehr gut gelegenes Hotel direkt an der U-Bahn-Station Lübecker Str. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wir sind mit zwei Kindern gereist. Dafür Preis-/Leistung top! Gutes Frühstück. Ausreichend Platz in der Tiefgarage. Lademöglichkeit in der Tiefgarage leider noch nicht fertiggestellt. Dafür gegenüber des Hotels Schnellader am Porsche-Zentrum.
