"We were welcomed with big smiles and fresh complimentary juices. Our room was upgraded without additional fees. Good variety of breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mendis & Sudish who work at Breeze Restaurant. The hotel and surroundings are very neat, also easy access to the beach. Near to seafood restaurants. Excellent service throughout the stay. Totally recommend!"

"We stayed here on our honeymoon, and was expecting a little more hospitality to be honest couldn't even get a free drink out of them 😅. They do hound you a little in the mornings for room service so don't expect a lay in at this place! The food was really good, bar slightly over priced so all inclusive would be worth it if you intend to spend most of your time at the hotel. "Service was very lacking, be it at front office or at restaurant. Quality and choice of food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) may be improved greatly!!!!! The many number of Staffs working at the beach restaurant more attentive - many stray cats around during meal time....which were a little "disruptive".... "The resort is the labor of love of Chamal the owner. 9 private and beautifully done villas set in the middle of nature. We had lunch and dinner everyday in the restaurant by the river. Loved the property, service was warm and friendly and seafood was superb. Great find!"

"The villa was spacious, clean and comfortable with an amazing pool and gardens. We stayed here for 5 nights and were very well looked after by the manager of the property and the ladies who were there to cook meals if needed. The food cooked for us was the best that we had during our two week stay in Sri Lanka! Communications with the owners while booking our stay were so easy and pleasant. We would highly recommend this villa for a relaxing stay in this part of the country."

We loved our stay at The Long House!

"We stayed 4-nights in a beach view room on the first floor. Room was a good size and well appointed with large patio area for relaxing. The property had lots of relaxing lounges including library and a small gym. The pool had sun loungers that could be transferred to the beach if preferred. Pool was lovely and refreshing after walks along the beach. Direct access to the beach, across the local railway line (local train passes around once an hour - this didn’t impact our stay at The Long House). Walk into Bentota via the beach was about 20-minutes or 5-minutes in a Tuk Tuk. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We loved our stay. "
