We had made plans to go to the film festival in Waterville and needed a place to stay. My husband found this and we almost missed out, but Pamela graciously gave us first dibs because we had called first. This apartment is a gem! It is spacious, beautifully decorated, comfortable and spotless. It is the nicest place we have stayed of all the many B & Bs we have sampled in Maine. There is an elevated deck and off street parking but the real surprises are in the details. Milk, eggs, butter, bread, water, muffins, wine...all there to welcome us. And who ever stocks the tea canister with Lapsang Shouchong tea bags that I can't even find sometimes at Whole Foods! And little packets of peanut butter and many flavors of Keurig cups and enough pots, pans, baking dishes, muffin tins and utensils to cook an elaborate meal. We chose to eat at Slates around the corner, which also has a bakery, which we also highly recommend. Coincidentally, it was Old Hallowell Day so we got a taste of small Maine town parade, floats, booths and fireworks. Walk? The walk along the river is delightful. We loved this apartment so much we've booked it again for New Year's weekend. A wonderful place to stay just for a getaway destination in and of itself! Thank you, Pamela and Eric!
