Great sites and venues for weddings and friends & family gatherings. Fine dining in downtown HMB and along the Coast. Ritz Carlton dining, tennis and golf a few minutes drive away. Yoga and pilates centers, nearby. Tennis courts at nearby high school and grade school. Golf driving range within 10 minutes walk. Olympic pool at College of San Mateo just 15 minutes drive away. Walk to art galleries and quaint shops in nearby downtown HMB. Coastal sunsets that take your breath away. Updated and pristinely clean home with peaceful, embracing backyard, jacuzzi tub and steam & dry sauna for restoring relaxation. Accommodations include beds for 7 adults and air beds for a total of 8 people. One pet up to about 20 lbs is welcome! All pets need to be preapproved before acceptance. The new short-term rental ordinance (Chapter 18.06.025) applies to all bookings.

Nice house and great location.
This property worked really well for our six woman book group. We were close tro the beach for walking, and there were so many great restaurants nearby.

A beautiful location in a lovely home
This was a perfect place for us to relax and spend time with out daughter and grandson. The house is lovely and spacious and is very close to a walking path along the coast, where we walked almost every day.

We had a wonderful stay with a short walk (~10 min) to the ocean. The home was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Beautiful fenced in backyard, felt very safe to let my small dogs roam in the backyard. Beds were very comfortable! Would love to stay here again!

Coastal Comfort was perfect for our group of six that spent three nights there. The property was exactly as described; close to the beaches, shopping and dining. The owners are very responsive and we enjoyed their recommendations for local things to do. The property is conveniently located but also tucked away just enough for privacy. We enjoyed our stay there very much!

Fun getaway near the ocean
We had a nice getaway weekend here. The house was spacious and clean, in a nice neighborhood that is walking distance from the ocean and downtown shops. The owners were responsive when I had questions. We’d stay here again for sure.

Everything about this home away from home was beautiful-flowers (some real some not) were everywhere; decor was nice but relaxing. The outside seating area was gorgeous. The kitchen was well stocked for basic cooking. The walk to the beach was easy. Loved our stay!

This property is extremely clean, easily accessible and spacious. The hosts were responsive and friendly. The location is a couple blocks to the beach, and close to parks and town. The house was full of amenities that made us feel at home. We would rent this property again and would suggest it for family and friends.

Best Ever Home for Half Moon Bay Experience!

Great house for family get-together!
The house is beautiful and comfortable. There was a new microwave in the kitchen, which was a nice surprise. The beds were comfortable and the house was spotless. We (5 adults and 1 child) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved that the coastal hiking trail is only a few short blocks away, and that there is a wonderful park/playground next door. The owners are very responsive by e-mail and we will stay here again if in the area.

Beautiful Home in a Great Location
The house is more spacious than what the pictures on VRBO reveal. Also, the home is conveniently located near many amenities (e.g., the playground is right next door and the beach is only a couple of blocks.) This rental is ideal for families and family gatherings. The owners were kind enough to let me host my mom's 70th birthday dinner party at their place, which were so appreciative for. Thank you, Keith!

Really appreciated our stay in your home. This was a poignant time for our family and friends to honor and celebrate our mom's life. And especially to highlight my mom's community in Half Moon Bay. This home did not disappoint and was a very welcoming place to return to each evening as we came "home" from my mom's funeral and then doing the work to move out of her home over on Myrtle. House is a 5min walk to the bluffs on the coast and walkable distance to the heart of Half moon bay. Kitchen was well stocked. The backyard is super cute. We really appreciated having 3.5 bathrooms. The house is truly RIGHT next to the park. I think the house could benefit from some additional privacy hedges, but it's no big deal

Home away from home
As the title says this very much felt like a home away from home - we were delighted to be able to enjoy it with our own family. There is a playground d next door which you can see from the back garden. Some reviews commented that perhaps there should be some screening. As long as you know it’s there I disagree. It’s a perfect spot for parents and grandparents to keep their eye on grandchildren playing in the park! Keith, thanks so much for all your help with booking! We d love to return!

Thoroughly enjoyable weekend near the ocean
Our family (ages 1 - 65) spent 3 nights at the Coastal Comfort. We were delighted to be welcomed by flowers in the window (well, they were fabric, but you sure couldn't tell!) and a wide open floor plan. Furnishings reminded us of Scandinavia, so beautiful wood and warm(!) stone floors and not quite as many comfy couches as we're used to. Kitchen was better furnished than any rental we've ever seen, and the garden was a pleasant respite when the afternoon winds come up from the shore. We were glad there was a children's playground just next door and a field for frisbee a few steps away. Carin was very responsive to our questions and there was a local phone number for emergencies (which we didn't need). Old HMB is about 5 blocks away, and the ocean is even closer. Oh, and the master suite is lovely and luxurious, and we all enjoyed a sauna!

Beautiful House, Perfectly Located
Six of us stayed in Carin and Keith's beautiful and very clean home in Half Moon Bay. Huge master bedroom with comfortable bed, 2 walk in closets and tons of storage. High ceilings and lots of natural light. It's a five minute walk to the beach and about a mile from the main part of town, where there are many fun shops and good restaurants. The house has a pretty and private back yard and 2 of the 3 upstairs bedrooms have nice balconies. All of the necessary supplies were provided. Communication with the owners was easy and done in a timely manner. Half Moon Bay is a beautiful area to explore and has a great bike path along the ocean. Our family enjoyed the happy hour at Moss Beach Distillery, which has an interesting history and fire pits around which you can enjoy good food and drinks. Also, the bagpipe player at the Ritz Carlton, who plays on certain evenings around sunset is fun to see. Highly recommend Carin and Keith's home.
