2 bedroomed cottages ideal for couples or young families. Dogs welcome.
Set back from the road. Built circa 1750, this traditional timber framed cottage has been carefully renovated and fitted out to a high standard to offer comfortable accommodation whilst retaining many original features such as oak beams, wattle and daub walls and a bread oven.
One of two adjoining cottages available to rent. The cottage sleeps up to 4 people and is available for stays of 3 nights or more. Because of the limitations on how we can set prices on this site please ask for a quote for short stays of between 4-6 nights so that we can apply a discount.
It has central heating throughout. On the ground floor the living/dining room has a large open fire, perfect for cosy winter evenings. Two sofas and a dining area.
The well equipped kitchen also has a microwave, airfryer, freezer and washing machine.
On the first floor, there are two bedrooms. The double bedroom has views to the front, and the twin bedroom has views to the back, both over open fields. Blackout blinds are fitted at the windows. Also on the first floor is a good-sized bathroom with bath and walk-in shower.
At the back of the cottage there is a small enclosed (with a low fence) garden set out with garden table and chairs where you can enjoy the fabulous view over open farmland.
The cottages are located in a village just outside the Blyth valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty. We love the slower pace of life, the relaxed atmosphere, and the great local produce.
The village has a family and dog-friendly pub that serves good food and a good local shop where basic supplies can be bought. Both are within a short walk from the cottages.
The cottage offers an ideal location for exploring the Suffolk coastal area and delving deeper into the Suffolk countryside.
Please note that because of its age, the stairs are quite steep, so the property is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
