Our very private Maui Cottage, a honeymoon haven, has a spectacular setting overlooking a peaceful jungle gorge, 100's of acres of verdant, pristine Maui countryside, ocean, coastline, and world famous Ho'okipa Bay. Sometimes you will hear the soothing sound of the waterfall and stream in the jungle gorge below the cottage.

Cottage's beautiful, comfortable tropical decor, skylights, rich, warm stained glass lamps, real wood floors, indoor tropical plants, high architectural open-beam ceilings and gentle breezes create a light, airy ambiance. This private, exceptional Maui vacation rental has a Sony Flat Screen TV, DVD, CD Stereo, iPod docking station, 2 phones, voice mail, and complimentary High Speed, Wireless Internet access.

Guests love our luxurious, deep soaking tub for 2. No chemicals or second-hand water. Just fill it up for each soak. It is a private, intimate relaxing experience. It will be love at 1st soak!

Guests also enjoy our 2 private, side by side hot/cold outdoor showers in the warm Maui sun or under the stars at night.
A drenching rain shower head and an adjustable hand held for your together enjoyment. Truly memorable.

New, king-size, luxurious, super comfortable bed with 100% quality cotton linens will lull you to sleep each night after your Maui activities.

The bathroom features granite counter top vanity, maple cabinets, skylight, including hairdryer, make-up mirror and designer soaps. Luxuriate in the newly tiled walk-in shower with a deluxe invigorating shower head and hand held shower. All are kept sparkling clean.

There is a large front loading washer and dryer at the cottage, so no need to pack so much.

The cottage was an ideal home for us while on Maui. It was clean and had everything we needed with great views and beautiful landscaping. Hank is a great host who is not intrusive but eager to make sure everything is going well with the stay. The location was very convenient for getting everywhere we wanted to go and was close to excellent restaurants. Everything about it was beyond expectations and made for a wonderful visit to Maui.

This is our second time at Hanks. It was as beautiful as the first time. Hank is such a wonderful guy who would bring me lettuce and lemons from his yard. Love the privacy of the place and Haiku is such a great time. Close to beaches , Paia Ana Makawao.

My husband and I stayed at the cottage during our (much needed ) getaway from the kids. The host has thought through every detail of a couples trip. We had fresh flowers throughout the house, a welcome basket of fruit and healthy snacks, detailed directions to local restaurants and beaches. The outdoor soaking tub was a nightly ritual that allowed us to watch shooting stars. The open panoramic sliding doors and vaulted ceilings made it feel as if we were sleeping in the open air. The breeze was filled with the aroma of the tropical gardens all around. The location was also perfect . You could drive into the nearby towns and explore or across the island to west Maui in an hour. Then at the end of the day, retreat to a private paradise.

Worth Every Star
We were looking for a private place to stay away from the resorts and we found just that. Hank was more than kind. The cottage was perfect for the two of us. We loved the surrounding community and probably would have never found the local charm without staying here. We did not want to leave.

I absolutely loved my stay here. It is very peaceful and private place. It feels remote and far away from everything, yet you can get into town for groceries and good restaurants is a few minutes. I would absolutely stay here again and hope to do so soon.

Our third stay at the cottage was just as wonderful and relaxing as our first back in 2019. The place is beautiful and off the beaten path and we'll definitely be back for a fourth time in the next year or so. Highly recommend if you're looking for something different from the resort atmosphere.

So beautiful and private!
This cottage is magical - so private, relaxing, and lovely. Hank was a wonderful host - there when we needed him and gave us privacy when we wanted it. The cottage is beautifully situated, overlooking a gulch with sweeping views of the ocean in the distance. The location is convenient to much of Maui, the beaches, upcountry, and the Road to Hana were nearby. It was a perfect place to spend a week - I only wish would could have stayed longer!

Gorgeous cottage and view!
