Great Lake property for our family getaway. John was available throughout the stay to answer any questions we had. The dock was nice for fishing and great views of the lake.
This was a perfect house for our group of 12! We had more than enough room, enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and swimming, and prepared meals and laughed together all weekend!
We have stayed at this house 3 times over the past few years and it was a great time. House is clean and in good shape. Also the dock at the lake is newer and can accommodate most boats. The location on the lake is just right. Awesome house & definitely recommend!
This is a beautiful lake house on The Sacandaga leak. There's lots of room and a beautiful kitchen. Did you have to be careful crossing the street from the house to the dock as it's a very busy road. The owner John was responsive and very pleasant to deal with.
We had a lovely time at this spacious house overlooking Sacandaga Lake. Our extended family of 13 people had plenty of room for sleeping, eating, and hanging out together. The owner was in constant contact with me with regards to severe weather issues that affected the area ahead of our stay, which was incredibly helpful to determine when it would be safe to arrive.
John’s property was terrific! Pictures honesty do not do it justice the house is even nicer in person! Great location with the dock space. Would definitely go back!
Beautiful home with great views! The house was clean and had plenty of room for our large group. John, the host, was excellent. Entire family had a blast! Hope to return next year.
The home is very spacious with plenty of sleeping areas for more than a dozen folks. We loved the downstairs apartment. Although a tornado heavily damaged the area and left everyone without power, John’s generator kicked in automatically so we one of the lucky ones with power.
The property was a perfect size and in a fantastic location. John the property manager was very attentive the entire time. We will definitely be back. Thanks for sharing!
The house was very nice and well suited for a large group. We went on a hike on the Hadley mountain and swam in the lake even though it was a bit cold while we were there. The view from the balconies was really nice and the lake was beautiful. Overall had a great time!
This is our second time back at this awesome lake house and I highly recommend booking this place. The best part about it is the dock where I kept my boat the whole week. The house is clean and roomy. Everyone in our group had a great time again this year.
Great large house with plenty of elbow room and beautiful views of the lake. Host was easy to deal with on 2 minor issues we had and took care of them in a timely manner. We had 9 adults and 2 kids and and it was a perfect getaway for our family.
Our group had a great time spending the week at this house. It was clean and fit plenty of people comfortably. Our favorite part about the house was the dock and the waterfront lake access. I brought a boat and left it docked all week without a problem. The owner was easy to work with and friendly. I would definitely recomend this house for a lake house vacation.
We had a great escape up to Lake Sacandaga! It was a long quiet weekend away from all the craziness with a group of friends. From the beginning we had questions about cancellations with Covid and he was very accomodating. Upon arrival we had a few questions which John was always quick to answer. He made the process a breeze. The views from the house are beautiful and the private dock is the best part! We had a great stay!
10 of our friends rented John's place for a guys trip. The house had more than enough room to comfortably sleep and house all of us, with beds to spare. The hosue is beautiful inside and out, overlooking the private dock with such easy access to the lake. It was our first time at Lake Sacandaga and our host, John went the extra mile and gave us suggestions and tips on how to make the best of our trip. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed throughout the whole trip. We will absolutely be booking here again!

Small bumps but overall a great stay.
John allowed us early access which was great but there was a large amount of linens towels and comforters onthe floor that we ended up washing. The yard was over grown but he allowed us to move the fire pit so it worked out. The house is great and the dock is amazing.
Friday was very hot, at arrival (4 pm) the house was at 86 and took a very long time to cool down ~ 8 hours. Very steep drive way. The 3rd floor patio doors had no blinds or drapes and it got bright early, I'm an early riser, but my wife isn't.
Overall it was a nice house and we enjoyed staying there.
Ok, so this was incredible! The house was exactly what we hoped it would be... an awesome vacation lake house! It was clean and the amenities we updated, but it still felt like being in the lake house my parents had when I was little. Wood finish everywhere. Brick fireplace (obviously unused, but cool to look at), 3 decks to watch the sun set over the water, fire pit and a brand new dock where we sat on beach chairs and just listened to the sound of the waves. John was amazing and answered all of our questions, and gave great advice on local restaurants and bars. The kids played on tubes and swam off the dock all day. We docked our boat, and had fantastic days waterskiing and fishing. It was one of the best vacations we have had in years. Thanks John!!! We will definitely be back next summer.
The location is fantastic and the house comfortably fit 10 people (2 couples and 8 singles). John, the host, was very reachable and responded to any inquiries very quickly. The house was clean and spacious. There isn't much yard space (a compromise for the steep rise of the property which allowed for a beautiful lake view) but there is a small side yard just big enough for the 10 of us to squeeze around the fire pit and room on the driveway for cornhole.
We easily fit 7 cars in the driveway as well. The road itself made for some very scenic biking, walking and early morning runnning. It does get very hot on the upper level of the house in the summer and there is limited privacy as one set of bunks is in an open loft, and others are behind glass doors. The bathrooms either have french doors with shear curtains or a louver door. The doors are very aestheticly pleasing but don't leave much to the imagination. It's easy to manage around these things though and access to the lake makes everything worth it. The water was cool but very swimmable, clean, and calm. We brought our own inflatable kayaks and floats so the kayak launch and ability to tether floats to the dock made for incredibly fun lake days - we had a blast!
We attended a charity event on the lake. John was excellent to deal with. Very pleasant stay. The home and location are beautiful. We wished that we had more than a weekend to spend. Didn't want to leave.
