2/10 Terrible

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort
Service, courtesy & hygiene? What's that?
You are invited to check-in by a grumpy guy at the counter who asks for ID, asks you to enter your details in a register, asks you to pay in advance for the room and drops a key on the table. That's the welcome. No one offers to help you with your bags. A boy who's just into his teens starts walking and you're supposed to follow him to your room. He points towards your room, hands you two bottles of water and walks away. You open the room and are up for some bad news. The bed linen is soiled/not changed. The room itself has a very dingy appearance. In local parlance we'd call it a "chaddar badlu" joint. Trying to get over the shock of what I've checked myself into, I reach for the bottle of packaged water and realise that it's not sealed. I check the other bottle and it's not sealed either. They fill tap water in old bottles and serve that to their guests. So much for hygiene. Turn on the AC and it starts vibrating like an old fridge full of beer bottles. That effectively ensures that you're startled out of your sleep everytime that vibrating AC starts and cuts off. Then you wake up all groggy with the lack of sleep, go to the washroom and realise there's no water. All the taps are dry... The story of this torrid experience goes on. But I guess you've got the point by now. The only good thing about that place is the breakfast they serve in your room in the morning. And that's not meant as a compliment.
