This two-story waterfront cabin is located on Buck Island in Guntersville. Full-width windows facing the water provide endless views and natural light. Original hardwood floors and ceilings create the perfect lake-cabin charm.

The property is on a large corner lot with 300 feet of shoreline and year-round views of the lake and town. There is a large dock perfect for relaxing, swimming, or boat access. Use of covered boat slips with lifts available for extra fee. Ample parking for multiple truck-boat trailers. There is a public boat ramp less than 5 minutes away.

Guntersville has the quintessential small-town feel with main street shopping, unique local restaurants, and endless outdoor activities on and off the lake. The property is located in a quiet neighborhood perfect for taking an afternoon walk.

1 King and 1 queen bed upstairs. 1 Queen, two twins, and a pull-out sofa downstairs. One full bath on each floor. Sleeps 3 couples plus kids comfortably. Full kitchen upstairs and partial kitchen downstairs.

Easy to access location by road, air, or water. Located 4 minutes off of US 431. 7 minutes to downtown Guntersville. 30 minutes to Huntsville, 90 minutes to Birmingham or Chattanooga, 3 hours to Atlanta. Guntersville Municipal Airport (8A1) is 5 minutes away.

The house was exactly as it was listed. Very comfortable and so peaceful. The views of the river and lake from the house is beautiful. The use of the boat house for our boat was great. Russ was very responsive when we had questions, etc. We enjoyed our stay so much we are coming up next year to stay there again.

Great getaway! Stayed there with family to celebrate a birthday/wedding and it was beautiful! Great fishing right off the doc and very close and convenient to the heart of guntersville! I’d highly recommend this place!

This was such a nice cabin and just the right size for my family of four . We had the perfect view of the water and the location of the property was within just a few miles of all the local restaurants and attractions. The nicest part about this cabin is the owner goes the extra mile to ensure you have a nice stay and ensure you are comfortable with all the essentials you may need for your stay. I would definitely stay here again .

It's not fancy, but it is peaceful and quiet - and very convenient to Sand Mountain amphitheater. The two of us and our pup had a great weekend. Russ was very responsive before we booked and when we had a question once we were there. Looking forward to planning another weekend at the Dacha.

As you'll see from other reviews, I have stayed at this location multiple times. I return because I love it so much -- It's my happy place. On this trip, I saw several eagles, a fox and lots of beautiful other birds. Such a special place!

Great property for a guys fishing trip. Nothing fancy, just what the guys need. Kitchen and bathroom are well stocked with the necessities. The boathouse is an amazing amenity that allowed us to store our boat and our fishing gear safely. Russ was great to work with and very accommodating! We hope to return soon!

The lake location was fantastic but the cabin was sub-par. Though we knew it was a small, simple cabin, we didn't expect terrible mustiness, a wet rug and mold in the shower. When we communicated concerns to the host, we got explanations rather than apology.

Lake Guntersville in November
We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed our stay at this cabin and the pictures are accurate. The boathouse and use of the lift was very handy and an important factor in our selecting this place. For the price, we were very pleased. The weather was great and fishing was good! It is a downstairs unit but no one is staying upstairs. So we had the place to ourselves. A couple of things to note, the two single beds are in the main living area. The sink is a laundry sink around the corner from the stove. We ate out once a day with only breakfast in the unit. It has some cooking items - like small frying pans but it doesn't have lots of kitchen appliances (like a toaster) if you plan on a lot of cooking. Treats/Snacks are left for your use - a very nice touch! The floor is painted cement with rugs on it. The walls are painted cement blocks. The chairs are well used but comfortable. We weren't expecting posh accommodations and enjoyed the place. It has fabulous views and good parking. The new dock is great. The owner was very easy to work with and we were happy. We enjoyed the new City Harbor just across the lake with boat parking.

The location of this place is absolutely beautiful. The host provided detailed information about the history of the home, and locations for entertainment, food, and shopping. I loved that I could bring my German shepherd and Yorkie here. There was bottled water in the refrigerator (I thought that was nice). I was given updates on the weather conditions. I felt like the host was easily accessible. Plus, the positive reviews made me feel like this would be a great vacation spot. We stayed downstairs in the converted basement. The two twin beds are in the kitchen/ living room area. From the photos, you can see multiple windows in the kitchen/ living room. These windows don’t have curtains (something to keep in mind). Now, with that being said. One of the biggest drawbacks of my stay was the cleanest. This place had multiple areas of dead and living spiders, ants, and gnats. Cobwebs are all over the ceiling, fans, furniture, and light fixtures. There was dog hair in the master bed ( I didn’t check the two twin beds). The shower curtain was covered with mold. The bathroom sink wasn’t draining properly. Russ was notified and photos were sent as proof. A cleaning crew couldn’t come out because it was the day before Thanksgiving. There were replacement sheets under the bed (we ended up buying our own). He stated, “if the cabin is not satisfactory I can offer you a discount.” The fact that I had to complain and send photos of these issues implies that the condition of the cabin was not satisfactory. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This was a great property for our 2 families and our fur babies! Our pet sitter fell through at the last minute and Russ was so accommodating. The properties were so cute and charming. We did a puzzle upstairs and watched the hawks, ducks, and fish from upstairs. Would definitely rent again!

This property is hands down the best Vrbo rental i have ever stayed at. The view is Amazing, The Owner Was Super Friendly and let me check in a night early. The neighborhood was super quiet. Wildlife everywhere. This is a Fishermens dream come true❤ we had access to the Boat house eith a lift on the property. The House sits on Guntersville Lake a massive 66k Ache lake
